Kathryn Hahn Reveals She Suggested Agatha’s Nude Scene in ‘Agatha All Along’
Agatha All Along is MCU’s current to-be hit series, and it is a spinoff of the popular series WandaVision, as you probably know. The show underwent numerous rebrandings before sticking to the final title, so we’re rather surprised that this one lasted through the entire broadcast. Two episodes of the series debuted on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. Up until November 6, when the series concludes, the remaining seven episodes will be broadcast each week.
Early evaluations of the show promised us an entertaining and captivating experience; nevertheless, despite Agatha All Along‘s undeniable quirkiness, the reviews from critics were not as positive as anticipated; on the other hand, fans loved the show and are giving it high marks.
Luckily, the initial reactions improved, and the series is currently enjoying a lot of success, so we can talk about some things related to the show. Finally. The series features a very interesting nude scene of Agatha herself, and actress Kathryn Hahn revealed that she was actually the one who pitched the scene to the writers.
During the premiere, Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha became the first female character in the MCU to show her buttcheeks after we already saw Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok and Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder do it. This, thus, became a piece of Marvel history, and a very funny one at that, and it turns out that it was Agatha all along (pun intended).
Namely, in an interview with Variety, Kathryn Hahn revealed that she was the one who actually pitched this scene to the writers, which means that she is the one to “blame” for it being included in the series. Here is what she said:
“Well, I came up with it. I thought it was good to see her as stripped down, literally, as we possibly could, which spoke into her powerlessness at the present moment. She’s been stripped of all of her power at this point in the series. I mean, she really had nothing at that point, and so it became about illustrating that gap between that moment and her finding her power again.”

As you can see, the scene has a lot of symbolic value as well, which is great. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer confirmed it was “Kathryn all along,” adding the following information:
Kathryn was like, ‘Would she grab the robe? I don’t feel like she would grab the robe. I feel like she would really not care about being naked in front of the neighbors.’ I told her, ‘That is the greatest idea I’ve ever heard.’ Kathryn has done so much work, and she’s done a lot of nudity and other things, and so it also felt very subversive to get Kathryn Hahn’s nudity into the MCU. It is so true to her character, and it makes me laugh out loud. And also, I mean, she looks incredible.
