Koei Tecmo, the company behind games like Dynasty Warriors and Atelier, is making big changes.

They plan to double their staff from 2,500 to 5,000. This move aims to shift their focus from mobile games to AAA titles. They believe the mobile game market has peaked and won’t grow much more.

Instead, they see more potential in console and PC games, inspired by the success of games like Stellar Blade and Black Myth: Wukong.

To support this shift, Koei Tecmo has started a new in-house game studio and improved their Katana Engine. These steps are meant to help them create high-quality games more efficiently.
