New rumors say that Leonardo DiCaprio might make an appearance in the third season of Netflix’s hit series ‘Squid Game‘. While there’s a lot of excitement about this possibility, Netflix has denied these claims.

Last year, secret filming for the upcoming season wrapped up with hints that DiCaprio, a noted fan of the show, could be part of the cast.

Despite the speculation, the streaming giant has clarified that there’s no truth to the rumors of his participation.

The connection between DiCaprio and ‘Squid Game’ dates back to 2021, following the series’ debut.

The star actor met with ‘Squid Game’ lead, Lee Jung-jae, at the LACMA Art + Film Gala soon after the series released.

Their meeting sparked initial interest when Lee mentioned in a 2022 interview that he would love to see DiCaprio in the series.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk added fuel to the fire at a press conference after the show won six Emmy Awards.

He mentioned DiCaprio’s admiration for the series and hinted at a potential invitation for him to join the cast.

Season 3 of ‘Squid Game’ promises more intense action and is slated for release later this year.

It follows protagonist Ki-hoon’s return to the game, seeking revenge against the Frontman, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown.

As fans eagerly await the new season, the true extent of any Hollywood involvement remains a hot topic of discussion.
