Liden Films to Produce a New ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ TV Anime in 2022
Next year will be a glorious year for anime fans. We’re getting new seasons for hit anime like Bleach, My Hero Academia, Overlord, and many more! Not only that, we have new series to look forward to, like Spy x Family, Blue Lock, Chainsaw Man, and too many others to mention.
One announcement during the recent Jump Festa event that took place in Japan from 18th to 19th of December 21 brought joy to 1900s anime fans. It was broadcast that Rurouni Kenshin would get a new TV anime project in 2022 under Liden Films. Despite being a relatively new Japanese anime studio established in 2012, Liden Films has produced hit anime series like Tokyo Revengers, Berserk, and Initial D.
Jump Festa did not reveal much detail on the new anime project. However, the news also revealed a 19-second teaser PV uploaded on Aniplex’s YouTube. The teaser PV only shows Kenshin and information saying that a new anime project is at work. There are no words spoken, just 19-seconds of pure anticipation of what’s to come. Of course, we see a clear view of his X-shaped scar.
