Marvel Studios’ ‘Loki‘ showcases Tom Hiddleston’s character evolving from a notorious villain to a burgeoning hero across two thrilling seasons.
Despite Loki’s efforts to reinvent himself, the shadows of his previous misdeeds loom large, haunting his memories and shaping his path forward.
A recently revealed deleted scene from the second season, soon to be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray, offers a deeper look into Loki’s complicated relationships with other characters in the MCU.
During a casual conversation over key lime pie with his friend Mobius (played by Owen Wilson), Loki recounts those who have seen him as a problem in the past.
He lists several familiar faces from Asgard, including Thor’s allies Volstagg (Ray Stevenson), Hogan (Tadanobu Asano), Fandral (portrayed by Josh Dallas and Zachary Levi), as well as more personal connections like Laufey (Colm Feore), Loki’s biological father, and Bor (Tony Curran), his adoptive grandfather.
Loki humorously mentions Heimdall not once, but twice, emphasizing the special scrutiny he faced from him.
Loki also recalls interactions with notable Earthlings such as Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard), and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), along with key S.H.I.E.L.D. figures Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). He even touches on Donald Blake, Thor’s earthly disguise.
The scene introduces mentions of characters like Amora the Enchantress and Absorbing Man, Carl Creel, who are known in the comics but have yet to appear in the MCU.
At the heart of the scene, Loki talks about Hercules, the Greek demigod who made his MCU debut in a brief post-credits scene in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ played by Brett Goldstein.
Hercules’ father, Zeus (Russell Crowe), was notably displeased with Thor, prompting a potential rivalry spurred on by past conflicts with Odin’s family.

This peek into Loki’s reflections and the name-dropping of both old and new characters suggest more intricate stories to come, including potential future appearances by Hercules.
The release of Season 2 on 4K UHD Blu-ray this December 3 promises more insights and unseen moments for fans to enjoy.
