Lucifer: The trailer for the second half of Season 5 reveals the war for the throne of God
Netflix has finally released a trailer for the second half of the fifth season of the supernatural hit series Lucifer. The trailer itself is fantastic, and we can hardly wait for the almighty to intervene in the already existing chaotic mix. So, God arrives on Earth to mend his relationship with his son the devil, and at the same time announces his impending retirement. Therefore, they will start a vicious war between the twins Lucifer and Michael as they fight each other for the throne of God.
Spending time with his father does not have the best effect on Lucifer. “It brings him back to a very primordial place, and his feelings are very raw.” – Tom Ellis told EW. “I am just happy and proud of what we have done. The first two episodes of the second half of the fifth season are, without a doubt, my two favorite episodes of the season. ”
The trailer also gives a little insight into the upcoming music episode that showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich screened at DC’s FanDome event. “It’s a lot of funny, but it’s also a lot of emotions. So there is a wide range of feelings to express.” Said Modrovich.
The fifth season is divided into two parts, each half of which has eight exciting episodes. The other half brings us Dennis Haysbert (24, Major League) in the role of God. Other roles already include Tom Ellis as the titular Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Chloe, Kevin Alejandro as Dan, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachel Harris as Linda, Scarlett Estevez as Trixie and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez.
The fifth season was originally conceived as the last. However, last year Netflix decided to surprise fans (and satisfy their #savelucifer campaign) and renew the series for the sixth and final season, which will consist of a total of 10 episodes.
Lucifer with his second half of the fifth season on Netflix arrives on May 28th.
