Marvel Comics Announces ‘Storm: Lifedream’ to Debut During Black History Month

In an exciting update for Marvel fans, the beloved X-Man Storm will star in her own one-shot comic ‘Storm: Lifedream,’ scheduled for release on January 29th, 2025. This special issue marks the beginning of Black History Month and is part of the Marvel’s Voices anthology.
The project is led by Angélique Roché, the creator of Marvel’s Voices, and features a lineup of all Black creative talents. Among them are Curtis Baxter, who joined Marvel with his work on ‘Miles Morales: Spider-Man Annual #1,’ and Brittney Morris, known for her bestselling novels ‘SLAY’ and ‘The Cost of Knowing.’
They’re joined by Eisner Award winner John Jennings, as well as rising star Karen S. Darboe, and renowned cover artist Edwin Galmon, among others.
‘Storm: Lifedream’ takes readers on a thrilling narrative where intergalactic historians are trying to revise the records of Storm, one of the most iconic members of the X-Men. Their efforts, however, might unlock a powerful and unseen side of her, risking her legacy as they delve into her past.
The comic will explore various significant periods in Storm’s life, coinciding with the character’s 50th anniversary. It’s a pivotal time for Storm, who has recently joined the Avengers in the ongoing series by Jed MacKay and Valerio Schiti and started a new solo series by Murewa Ayodele and Lucas Werneck.
Marvel’s dedication to celebrating Black History Month through this release is a reflection of Storm’s significant impact and the creative talent behind her stories. It’s a crucial moment for the character, and we can’t wait to see how this special issue honors her legacy and history.
