‘Mass Effect 5’: Will Paragon and Renegade Choices Return?

Share:

In the Mass Effect series, players often discuss their choices, especially whether they lean towards paragon (good) or renegade (bad) actions. This system was absent in Mass Effect: Andromeda, which introduced four new personality types: emotional, logical, casual, and professional.

Recently, Michael Gamble, the director of the upcoming Mass Effect 5, engaged with fans on Twitter about this topic. He acknowledged that while most players preferred the paragon path, having the renegade option was essential. He stated, ‘The ability to choose is stronger than the number of people playing any option.’

When asked if the paragon and renegade system would return in Mass Effect 5, Gamble responded, ‘You’ll just have to wait and see.’ This suggests that the development team is considering various options for the game’s morality system.

As of now, it’s unclear whether Mass Effect 5 will reintroduce the paragon and renegade choices or continue with a different system. Fans are eager for more information, but we’ll have to be patient for official announcements.

In the meantime, the Mass Effect community continues to discuss and speculate about the game’s development and potential features. The anticipation for Mass Effect 5 remains high, with many hoping for a return to the series’ roots.
