How Did the MCU Series Do on Rotten Tomatoes? Here's the Full List!

The history of Marvel’s television series is a complex one. Way before the MCU, several Marvel-based television series were made, including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Netflix series, but they are not considered to be part of the MCU, at least not in the way you’d think.

And while Marvel has, in the meantime, gotten hold of the rights to these characters and is going to integrate them into the MCU, the past is the past.

MCU’s television history starts with WandaVision, which premiered in 2021. Since then, a total of 12 series have been released as of the time of writing, with more coming out in the upcoming months and years. In light of that, have you ever wondered how these shows have fared with the critics?

Well, if you have, we are going to bring you the list of all MCU shows, from worst to best, based on their Rotten Tomatoes score, with some of our comments. Enjoy!

12. Secret Invasion

Score (Status): 52% (Rotten)

Consensus: A well-deserved showcase for Samuel L. Jackson, Secret Invasion steadies itself after a somewhat slow start by taking the MCU in a darker, more mature direction.

This was just a poorly executed series that made no sense at all. The story was very thin and Marvel wasted a lot of solid talent on this show, and we still don’t get why it was even made and what the point was.

11. Echo

Score (Status): 70% (Fresh)

Consensus: Alaqua Cox makes Echo‘s first season consistently worth watching, while hard-hitting action and fresh narrative elements suggest strong potential for this slow-building series.

Just barely obtaining a Fresh rating, Echo is not a bad show per se – in fact, it is a very interesting part of the MCU lore – but it is a bit out-of-place and we have yet to understand how it will fit into the whole lore.

10. She-Hulk

Score (Status): 79% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Whether she’s fighting bad guys, defending a client, or managing her messy social life, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law passes the bar for bingeworthy viewing.

She-Hulk was controversial more than anything else, but it was a somewhat refreshing and light take on the MCU that just didn’t hit the spot with all the fans, but it has a lot of charisma and appeal.

9. Agatha All Along

Score (Status): 83% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: The marvelous Kathryn Hahn is backed up by a coven of memorable performers in this MCU spinoff that refreshingly concocts its own distinct brew.

Despite a relatively low place, Agatha All Along is nevertheless a solid outing that will show us how far the MCU can go as far as its supernatural aspects are concerned, and it has a lot more to show.

8. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Score (Status): 85% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Packed with blockbuster action and deft character beats, Falcon and the Winter Soldier proves itself worthy of Captain America’s legacy with its globetrotting intrigue, mature social commentary, and the sparky rapport between stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.

A solid outing that is loved more for its secondary cast than for the main actor, as Zemo and Winter Soldier absolutely stole the show which was, more or less, a transitional one for Sam Wilson.

7. Moon Knight

Score (Status): 86% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Its entertainment value may wax and wane a bit, but Moon Knight ultimately settles into a mostly enjoyable — and refreshingly weird — spot in the MCU firmament.

A strange series and definitely the odd man out as far as the MCU is concerned, but exactly because of that – and Oscar Isaac’s charismatic performance – a true gem that has to be appreciated more.

6. Loki

Score (Status): 87% (Fresh) / Season 1: 92% (Certified Fresh); Season 2: 82% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: A delightful diversion from the MCU as we know it, Loki successfully sees star Tom Hiddleston leap from beloved villain to endearing antihero — with a little help from Owen Wilson — in a series that’s as off-kilter, charming, and vaguely dangerous as the demigod himself. (Season 1)

Loki‘s dizzying, dazzling second season may rely on sleight of hand to distract from its slightly less satisfying storyline, but the end result still contains enough of that old Marvel magic to entertain. (Season 2)

Loki was a stunning series that did an excellent job of crafting the titular antihero’s MCU storyline. It also did an amazing job of expanding the MCU lore, which is why we agree with it being here.

5. What If…?

Score (Status): 89% (Fresh) / Season 1: 89% (Certified Fresh); Season 2: 90% (Fresh)

Consensus: What If…? may not add much to the larger MCU narrative, but surprising takes on beloved characters and some of the best action sequences in the entire franchise make for engaging viewing. (Season 1)

In its superlative sophomore season, What If…? reaffirms its status as one of the most consistently creative outposts in the sprawling MCU. (Season 2)

What If…? is a brilliant and absolutely refreshing take on the MCU, showing us a lot of the stories we’ve always wanted to see, and not suffering from the fact that it was made in animated format.

3. Hawkeye

Score (Status): 92% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Hawkeye starts slowly, but the street-level action is a refreshing change of pace for the MCU — and the chemistry between its leads sparkles even when the plot lags.

Tied with WandaVision, Hawkeye was a series that gave Hawkeye a proper story in the MCU, not just a side role one, and also introduced Kate Bishop in the most brilliant way possible.

3. WandaVision

Score (Status): 92% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Part loving homage to TV history, part off-kilter mystery, WandaVision is a wonderfully weird and strikingly bold step into the small screen for the MCU – and a perfect showcase for Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.

Tied with Hawkeye, WandaVision is, in our opinion, a far superior show that managed to show us a darker and more complex side of the MCU, something we don’t see that often, and a brilliant character development for Wanda.

2. Ms. Marvel

Score (Status): 98% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Ms. Marvel is a genuinely fresh addition to the MCU — both stylistically and substantively — with Iman Vellani ably powering proceedings with her super-sized charisma.

A series that beat the odds in a most exciting way, Ms. Marvel is undoubtedly a beloved work that everyone loved, and a way of showing how some interesting topic can be handled in a fun, yet high-quality manner.

1. X-Men ’97

Score (Status): 99% (Certified Fresh)

Consensus: Pulling off the x-traordinary feat of staying true to its beloved predecessor while charting a path forward for the franchise, X-Men ’97 is simply x-cellent.

The animated series shook the industry, providing old fans with what they wanted and new fans with something new to become attached to. Sadly, it also had a lot of problems, so we’ll see if it will be able to maintain its reputation.
