Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 plot
Knowing what we know now, the upcoming third season of Mob Psycho 100 will be adapting the four final volumes of the manga, which means that we are going to see the Divine Tree Arc, the Telepathy Mini-Arc, the ???% Arc, and the Epilogue. And while four arcs might seem big for a final season of an anime, they are not overly long and the producers won’t have much trouble adapting all of it. In this article, we are going to give you an overview of these story arcs so you know what to expect.
The giant broccoli, now known as the Divine Tree, had gathered groups of believers, all trying to claim the tree as their own. Meanwhile, Mob tried to figure out his future prospects when he realized that everyone already had plans for their future. Reigen encouraged Mob to do what he saw fit, and it turned out that Serizawa had also joined Reigen’s agency.
As Mob pondered what he wanted to do for the school’s cultural festival, Haruaki Amakusa, a yōkai hunter who transferred to Seasoning City due to the recent Divine Tree activities, asked for help. of Reigen to get rid of the great yōkai king. The task went well, and the remaining yōkai were absorbed into the Divine Tree soon after. With winter vacation nearing, Tome’s end-of-year exams and her graduation date from Salt Mid are approaching.
She spoke to the Telepathy Club about how the club will naturally end without creating any memories and got a lackluster response from them. She started crying and broke down in front of the listless members of the club. After realizing that the Telepathy Club didn’t mean much to the other members, she calmed down and left the room, stating that the Telepathy Club was now disbanded.
The Telepathy Club then realized exactly how much the Telepathy Club meant to Tome and that they were more serious about contacting aliens telepathically than they thought. They went to Mob to ask him if he could do telepathy, but Mob said he couldn’t. Inukawa broke down in front of the crowd and then explained the situation; upon hearing this, Ritsu said he knew some real telepaths and offered to call them.
After hearing that Tsubomi was walking away, Mob worked up the courage to confess. He received gifts, encouragement, and advice from most of his allies, most notably Minegishi, who presented him with a large bouquet of flowers. He arranged a meeting with Tsubomi at the park, where he revealed his abilities for the first time.
On the way to her, Mob was hit by a car while rescuing a distracted child, critically injuring him and activating ???% destructively. ???% raged nonstop, slowly moving closer to his original goal of making a confession to Tsubomi, with Teruki, Sho, Toichiro Suzuki, the Body Improvement Club, and Ritsu all trying to stop or calm him down.
Although they all failed, Teruki was able to awaken Mob’s consciousness, despite Mob still having no control over his body. It was only after Ritsu’s attempt that Mob discovered ???%, his power, in his mind. Mob directly confronted ???% in his spirit landscape, but was slowly stripped of his identity by the personality entity.
At least six months later, many things in Mob’s life had changed for the better, including becoming vice president of the Body Improvement Club, Ritsu becoming vice president of the student council, and Kurata Tome now working as a secretary for the Body Improvement Club. Reigen’s agency. They all went to the agency after school and booked a surprise for Reigen’s birthday. When Reigen’s cake was thrown in his face, Mob was seen laughing contentedly.
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 cast
The main cast of Mob Psycho 100 won’t be going through many changes in the upcoming third season, at least not as far as we know. Some new characters will be introduced, that is certain, but the main cast will remain – for the most part – unchanged until the very end (of the first and second series, at least). This is why we think that the main voice cast, since that is an unwritten rule in modern-day anime adaptations, will return for the upcoming third season. This is whom you can expect to hear again:
Character | Japanese Voice Actor |
---|---|
Shigeo Kageyama | Tatsuomi Hamada |
Arataka Reigen | Kazuki Namioka |
Hoyuelo | Akio Ōtsuka |
Ritsu Kageyama | Ayumu Mochizuki |
Teruki Hanazawa | Atsushi Arai |
Tsubomi Takane | Yuki Yoda |
Tome Kurata | Kasumi Yamaya |
Where can you watch Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100?
Currently, you cannot watch the third season of Mob Psycho 100 anywhere, since the season hasn’t come out yet. As for the previous seasons, we know that they have been streamed on Funimation and Crunchyroll, the two biggest anime sources in the West, as well as HBO Max (since Warner Bros. is co-producing the show), so we assume that the upcoming third season will be available on these platforms as well.
Will there be a Mob Psycho 100 Season 4?
The Mob Psycho 100 manga is over, finishing back in 2017. The anime series has so far adapted all of the manga volumes, save for the four last ones. From what we know at this moment, the third season is going to adapt these four volumes, thus bringing the story to its end. This, ultimately, means that the third season is – probably – going to be the show’s final one and that Mob Psycho 100 won’t be getting a fourth season. Now, there is a possibility that the producers plan on splitting the final volumes into two parts, like they did with Attack on Titan, but Mob Psycho 100 is not such a big brand so it’s probably not going to happen.
Long story short, Mob Psycho 100 is probably not getting a fourth season because the third season is going to adapt the remaining volumes of the manga and this bring the story to its end.
