Ranker is a popular place on the Internet where people can rank whatever they want, however, they want, and whenever they want. This is always a fan-focused ranking system, and it is never officially tied to the people behind the projects in question.
Recently, a large survey was organized on Ranker, whose goal was to determine the most annoying A-list actors. The list includes more than 100 names, but in our report, we have decided to list the top twenty actors and actresses from the site to provide you with better insight, combined with our original comments and opinions, which will add flavor to the whole report.
Of course, since this is indeed an important list, we have decided to report on it, so we are going to bring you the results by listing the top 20 names on this list, from 20th to first place. We hope you’ll enjoy it!
20. Ben Affleck
When Affleck is concerned, you cannot say that he is not a committed and creative filmmaker, but his private life and personal issues have been in the spotlight far too often, and that is what fans generally dislike.
19. Elliot Page
Well… this is a tricky one, but with the story surrounding Page’s gender change, we can see why some fans are annoyed. Whether it’s based on something real or not is another issue, but we can see where this is coming from.
18. Barbra Streisand
Barbra Streisand hasn’t been in the spotlight for years now, but it seems that there are older fans who remember her reputation from when she was a star. We guess you’ll have to ask your parents about this one.
17. Angelina Jolie
This one is probably because of her complex relationship with Brad Pitt and the feud with Jennifer Aniston. Jolie is a talented actress, but her private life has definitely tarnished some of her successes.
16. Kevin Spacey
Well, this is definitely something we can understand. He wasn’t the most popular actor even before the scandal, but his very… unsmart comments and actions after the serious sexual assault allegations made his downfall a certainty; we’re surprised he’s not higher on this list.
15. Lindsay Lohan
We guess that millennials voted for Lohan on this list, because she hasn’t been in the spotlight for years; younger fans probably won’t know all of her scandals and issues. But if you’re a millennial, you’ll probably understand why she’s here.
14. Sarah Silverman
Much like some other names on this list (see below), Sarah Silverman hasn’t done much to earn a spot here – if you ask someone, they’ll probably say that she is just annoying, and that concludes the story more or less.
13. Whoopi Goldberg
Whoopi Goldberg has been present for decades, and much like Barba Streisand below, she is probably here because of older fans who remember some of her comments and reactions.
12. Alec Baldwin
The most prominent of the Baldwin brothers, Alec had been hated by the fans for some time now due to his behavior, but the recent gunshot scandal cemented his name on this list even more.
11. Lea Michele
To be honest with you, we don’t know what Lea Michele did to earn a place on this list simply because we’re not really acquainted with her life and career, but knowing she had a role in Glee, we can imagine that there are reasons.
10. Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez being on this list is not a surprise, as we know that there are many fans who are annoyed by her entitled behavior and her public comments. And while she might have been a bit lower on this list, we can still completely understand how she ended up here. Yeah, there’s also the Ben Affleck thing…
9. James Corden
The guy is so omnipresent even where he shouldn’t be that this doesn’t really surprise us. And while he has a lot of fans, the Cats horror that we were subjected to further cemented his position on this list.
8. Jada Pinkett Smith
With her generally obnoxious personality and the perception that she is still ruining Will Smith’s life, Jada Pinkett Smith is a name that we generally expect to see on this list. If you’re better known as someone who ruined a famous actor’s life than an actress… that pretty much speaks for itself, doesn’t it?
7. Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart’s breakout role was in Twilight, and this was when she started annoying a lot of people. Since then, while landing some amazing roles, her reputation has never really recovered, and we get why the fans have voted her inside the top ten.
6. Shia LeBeouf
And while not an untalented actor, Shia LeBeouf has been filling the headlines with his odd and eccentric behavior more often than his roles. The general perception is that LeBeouf tends to overdo things and all of that can, indeed, make people annoyed.
5. Charlie Sheen
A former star loved by the fans, Sheen’s career was destroyed when his irresponsible personal behavior overshadowed his acting career and when it was revealed that he knowingly endangered the health of a lot of people with his behavior.
4. Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow is one of those names you knew was going to end up on this list. And while she has had prominent roles, they were never that good to account for her entitled behavior, which is the main reason why many fans are annoyed by her.
3. Tom Cruise
We’re actually surprised that Cruise made it into the top three. We can understand why some fans are annoyed by his behavior, but he hasn’t really done that much to earn a top-three spot, although the Scientology thing is enough for him to be on this list, yes.
2. Woody Allen
And while Allen hasn’t been a prominent acting name for years, his private life and the fact that he has acted are why he is here, and knowing his whole story, we can fully understand why the fans are so annoyed.
1. Amber Heard
This one isn’t a surprise, isn’t it? Amber Heard never managed to reach stardom with her acting, and when she tried to do it with her non-acting life, it failed miserably, and she also ruined the life of another problematic but beloved star.
