‘My Hero Academia: You’re Next’ Movie Reveals New Trailer & Release Date!

My Hero Academia is one of the hottest anime titles right now, as this year is going to be a great one for fans of the series. The first episode of the recap series, My Hero Academia: Memories, just premiered today, while the seventh season of the anime is scheduled to premiere in less than a month. On top of that, fans of the series will be able to enjoy the summer as well, as a My Hero Academia movie, titled My Hero Academia: You’re Next, is also going to be released this year. Alongside the release of the first episode of Memories, a new trailer for the movie was revealed, alongside its official release date – August 2, 2024!
The movie was officially revealed in Weekly Shonen Jump #36-37, 2023 on August 7th, 2023, while the official title of the movie was revealed in January 2024. Until today, no news regarding the movie has been released, but with Memories starting its run, the producers have also decided to share some information with us here.
As far as it is understood, the movie is going to be an original story, i.e., not a canon work, but that is good since it will probably expand the story in a great way. To get an idea of what to expect from the movie, check out the trailer below:
As you can see, the titular antagonist of the movie is going to be a dark version of All-Might, the biggest hero in the series. Called Dark Might, the antagonist is going to be voiced by Kenta Miyake. Other confirmed voice actors include Daiki Yamashita as Izuku Midoriya, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Katsuki Bakugo, Yuki Kaji as Shoto Todoroki, Ayane Sakura as Ochaco Uraraka, and Kaito Ishikawa as Tenya Ida. As for the staff members, the known names include:

All of this is certainly great news for fans of My Hero Academia, as 2024 is going to be an epic year for them. Sadly, we don’t know when the movie is going to be released outside Japan, but we do have an official synopsis for you, which you can read here:
