Netflix Removes 2025 Release Date for Live-Action ‘One Piece’ Season 2 After Apparent Leak

Everything We Know About Netflix's 'One Piece' Season 2

Netflix recently confirmed that Season 2 of the One Piece live-action series would arrive in 2025, but now that information has disappeared. The original announcement appeared on Netflix TUDUM, promoting a partnership with LEGO. However, the website has since removed the release year from the article.

It’s unclear why Netflix changed the post. Maybe the release date was revealed too early, or it might not be set in stone. Either way, the update leaves us wondering when exactly Season 2 will drop.

The new season is already shaping up to be massive. Over 20 new cast members have been introduced, and we got a sneak peek at Drum Island and Chopper last September. Eiichiro Oda himself has promised that this season will be even better than the first. In a recent set tour video, Jeff Ward even hinted that it’s still coming this year.

Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are back as showrunners, writers, and executive producers. Oda is also deeply involved, ensuring the adaptation stays true to the spirit of the original.

The latest casting additions include David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Campus Johnson as Mr. 5, Clive Russell as Crocus, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Joe Manganiello as Crocodile, and Charithra Chandran as Vivi. There are plenty more joining the adventure, each bringing their own style to the world of One Piece.

The first season of One Piece launched on August 31 and became a major hit, topping Netflix’s global English TV rankings. It pulled in 18.5 million views, with a total of 140.1 million hours watched. It even held onto the top spot in its second week.

The main cast is returning, with Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp. With so much excitement surrounding the next season, the only question left is when Netflix will finally lock in that release date for good.
