New 'Alien' Series Will Combine a Tropical Survival Story with Bloodthirsty Xenomorphs

The Alien franchise is one of the longest-running and still-ongoing sci-fi horror franchises. On top of that, it is also one of the most beloved sci-fi franchises of all time, as the fans love the world created by Ridley Scott’s creative genius, which has – since then – evolved in a major way, as you probably know.

Many works form part of the Alien franchise, and while fans generally know the movies best, it is worth noting that there are many derivative works that are part of the franchise, and the works we are going to talk about in this report are the comics.

Namely, next week will see the debut of a new Alien comic book series that promises to combine a survival horror with an intriguing crime story and very bloodthirsty Xenomorpohs, as you might have guessed. In this report, we are going to reveal all you need to know about the series.

The new comic book series comes to us by Steve Foxe & Edgar Salazar & Peter Nguyen, with a cover by Iban Coello. It is going to be titled Alien Paradiso, and its first issue is coming out on December 11, 2024.

The story will be – as expected – a survival horror, but it will combine an intriguing crime story involving smugglers, a tropical island setting, and – of course – many brutal deaths, as fans of the Alien franchise are used to. Here is the official synopsis of the upcoming comic book:

WELCOME TO PARADISO! Welcome to Paradiso, where the money flows like blood and the blood flows like acid! The Tulum of space, Paradiso is a hidden gem among the colonies with its tropical climate, white sand beaches and a remarkable population of hyper-wealthy criminals.

When Colonial Marshals Dash Nanda and Lydia Reeves are sent there to bust a smuggling ring, they think they’ve hit the job-assignment jackpot. But the only ones getting lucky here are those HUNGRY enough to take what they need. Steve Foxe, Edgar Salazar and guest contributor Peter Nguyen shine neon lights on the horrors of the Alien franchise with a bold story of the gambles we must take to survive!

The setting is in space, as you can see, but Paradiso is a hidden gem that fans of a tropical island setting will love, especially because it brings us a very interesting crime story that the readers will be able to enjoy properly.
