New Star Wars TV Show ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Officially Announced
At the end of the second season of The Mandalorian, there was quite a bit of confusion, as the scene after the credit revealed that the Boba Fett series will arrive in December 2021, at the same time as the 3rd season of The Mandalorian.
Some people wondered if those two things were one and the same. Can Boba Fett take on the role of Mandalorian in the third season, making the series more of an anthology? A couple of days later we have an official response. The Book of Boba Fett will be its own series.
Disney + has confirmed that Boba Fett’s spin-off will be a stand-alone show ahead of the executive producers ’appearance at Good Morning America.
They tweeted to reveal the official logo of the new series and confirmed that Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will be executive producers along with Robert Rodriguez, who directed one of the Mandalorian episodes.
The tweet not only confirms the book about Boba Fett as a separate series but also which two stars will lead. As expected, Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen will star in the series as the title bounty hunter and Fennec Shand.
If you remember, Fennec Shand was left for dead in the first season of The Mandalorian, to be rescued by Boba Fett, so the two of them are now loyal allies.
This all means that, despite what some might say on social media, The Mandalorian is not some weird kind of anthology series. Season 3 will not follow a different Mandalorian as a character. Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin will play in the third season of the series which will be released right after the Book of Bob Fett.
