DOOM: The Dark Ages was recently showcased at CES 2025, where NVIDIA presented its new RTX 50 Series GPUs and DLSS 4 technology. This upcoming title from id Software was highlighted among other big games like The Witcher IV.

The game will feature DLSS 4’s multi-frame generation, ray reconstruction, and path tracing, which will enhance both performance and visuals. The powerful id Tech engine will power the game’s stunning graphics and epic battles.

Billy Khan, director of Engine Technology at id, mentioned that DLSS 4 marks ‘a new era’ for gaming, promising huge improvements in raytracing capabilities and visual quality, as you can see:

DOOM: The Dark Ages is a single-player action FPS that dives into the Doomslayer’s origins and rage. Players will take on the role of the Doomslayer, the demon-killing legend, in a dark medieval war against Hell. The game promises destructive demons, brutal melee combat, and intense battles, reminiscent of the original DOOM.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, and will also be on Xbox Game Pass. It’s set to release later this year and is one of the most anticipated titles for 2025. Other games supporting DLSS 4, including Alan Wake 2 and Silent Hill 2, are also on the horizon.
