Overlord Season 4, Episode 9 plot
As we prepare for what is coming up in the next episode of Overlord‘s Season 4, let us quickly recap what happened in Episode 8:
Yohz reports his defeat to Riyuro, who visits Olasird’arc “The Lord of the Frost Dragons” at the Royal Palace, hoping to persuade him to attack the dwarves. Olasird’arc sends one of his sons, Hejinmal, an overweight coward. Hejinmal is so scared that he immediately gives in to Ainz. After killing Olasird’arc, Ainz helps Gondo steal the Book of Runes.
Shaltear is wary of who he killed the Death Knights, until Aura reveals that Ainz always knew the Death Knights fell into the abyss, he simply hid this so that Shaltear would think there was a strong enemy, causing him to think strategically. On Ainz’s orders, Shaltear offers Riyuro a choice, either all 60,000 Quagoa swear allegiance to her, or she will kill all but 8,000 males and females and 2,000 children. Riyuro chooses to fight but is devastated when Shaltear kills 50,000 Quagoa.
All the dragons swear allegiance to Ainz, except for one of Olasird’arc’s sons whom Ainz kills when she attacks him. Riyuro swears allegiance to him, and Ainz promises that both the dragons and Quagoa will prosper in his kingdom as long as they remain loyal. Shaltear shares what he learned from the experience and Ainz is proud of her.
Ainz summons Demiurge to report on the progress with the Slane Theocracy. Demiurge is impressed that Ainz now has the allegiance of both the Empire and the Dwarf Kingdoms and, through a series of misunderstandings, believes that Ainz has formulated plans for at least the next 10,000 years.
