One of the things that we know about a lot of different TV series right now is that post-credit scenes have become quite common, and this is especially true when it comes to a Disney production due to how the MCU has made the post-credit scene such a popular thing when it comes to shows and movies. Right now, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ is one of the most popular Disney TV shows due to how popular the source material is. But do ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ have post-credit scenes?
‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ sort of has post-credit scenes
It has become a standard for a lot of different movies and shows that focus on continuity to have post-credit scenes that allow fans to see what’s in store for the characters and the entire narrative in a future episode or installment. One of the things that has become clear about post-credit scenes is that it is sort of Disney standard due to the fact that the MCU has spoiled fans with post-credit scenes.
Today, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ is looking to become the next big thing that you can watch on Disney+ because there are a lot of fans who grew up reading the Rick Riordan novels. Of course, some of the younger audiences also became fans of the ‘Percy Jackson’ books by Riordan. As such, fans are now wondering whether or not there are post-credit scenes in the ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ series, given the fact that some Disney+ productions actually have post-credit scenes after certain episodes.
After the first episode of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians,’ the first thing that fans would notice is that there are post-credit scenes after the mid-credits. This is also the same for episode 2. That means that, in the loose meaning of the term, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ does have post-credit scenes.
Unfortunately, these post-credit scenes are not the conventional post-credit scenes that fans have grown accustomed to. They don’t include scenes that involve the next chapter of the character’s storyline or teasers in relation to what’s in store next for the characters. As such, you shouldn’t expect the series to have the conventional kind of post-credit scenes.
The post-credit scenes are previews
As mentioned, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ does have post-credit scenes. Well, sort of. That’s because the post-credit scenes aren’t the same as the ones we are used to in the MCU. Instead, they come in the form of previews.
That means that the post-credit scenes of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ merely allow us to see scenes that tease the events of the next episode instead of actually giving us scenes that are new and unique to the current episode. For example, in episode 1, the scenes in the post-credit previews are the very same scenes that you should expect to see in episode 2. As such, the scene previews are not unique to episode 1.
What that means is that there are no post-credit scenes in the loose sense of the term due to the fact that these post-credit scenes are merely previews that put together a few scenes from the next episode to tease fans about what they should expect. It really isn’t something that’s new or unique to ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians.’
While some series, especially the ones from Amazon Prime, usually do this at the end of the first episode to tease fans about what they should expect in the entire season, ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ only teases what is going to happen in the next episode. This is also a standard in both episodes 1 and 2 instead of just in the first episode.
Do you need to watch the previews?
One of the things that people know is that post-credit scenes tend to be very important to the shows and movies that have them because it allows them to understand what is next in store for the characters in a future episode or movie. So, does that mean that you also have to watch the previews of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians?’
Well, not exactly. That’s because the episode previews at the end of each episode of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ only show the scenes that are going to be featured in the next episode. That means that there really isn’t anything unique in the preview at all.
The only reason why you should even be watching the post-credit preview is to get excited about what is going to happen in the next episode or to make speculations about what the next episode has in store for you. But, other than that, there really is no need to watch the episode previews as they add little to no value to the storyline of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians.’
