Here Are All the Records that ‘The Boys’ Season 4 Managed to Break
The final episode of The Boys‘ fourth season, which aired on July 18, 2024, was so amazing that the fans needed some time to process it all and get over the epic lunacy it represented. The fourth season of The Boys debuted on June 13, 2024, and ran until July 18, 2024, as you probably know. Despite a rocky start, the season earned a Certified Fresh classification, and the viewership numbers confirmed that it was the most successful season so far, despite what the haters will want you to think!
We have already reported – on more than one occasion – how the season was doing great and how great the numbers actually were, which is why it doesn’t surprise us that the series was a record-breaking event for the franchise as a whole.
We have already reported on how the Nielsen Ratings helped push the series into the history books, but Season 4 of The Boys managed to break more than one record and in this report, we are going to provide you with more details about the historical season!
The records we are going to talk about, which have been broken this season, have been confirmed after the official Nielsen Ratings for the final week (yes, yes, they’re about a month late, we know) have been released. And while we have already reported on the main one, several other records have been broken and we think you need to know about them.
Just a quick recap. The main record, as far as the final week is concerned, relates to the fact that the series managed to collect more than 1.3 billion minutes of viewership, putting it at No. 1 among all the streaming titles for the interval.
This was the first time that the series had taken the top spot in this category, which illustrates just how important this season was, especially in light of all the criticism it had faced by some fans. This has to be combined with the fact that the series has been in the Top 10 every single week since Season 4 debuted on June 13.
The second major record broken this season is an “internal” one, as The Boys Season 4 managed to become the only show that succeded in passing the 1 billion minutes mark eight times in one season, an achievement no other Prime show managed to do.
Finally, the season set a new record for the most consecutive weeks in the Top 10, as far as the Nielsen Ratings are concerned; the record is now 20 weeks, which also surpasses all the other Prime titles and is another record set by the series. So, yeah, overall, the fourth season of The Boys is a record-breaking and record-setting success, and we can only applaud the cast and the crew for their success!
