Lucasfilm is going all-in on Rey as a key figure in the future of the ‘Star Wars’ saga, with multiple films currently in development featuring the character.

According to industry insider DanielRPK on his Patreon, beyond the previously announced projects involving Shawn Levy and Simon Kinberg, another movie focused on Rey is now in the works.

The first confirmed project will see Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, taking center stage in a film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Set 15 years after the events of ‘The Rise of Skywalker,’ the story will follow Rey as she undertakes the monumental task of rebuilding the Jedi Order.

This film aims to explore the post-Skywalker galaxy, offering audiences a deeper look at the challenges Rey faces as she steps into the role of a mentor and leader for a new generation of Jedi.

While Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s movie is generating the most buzz, Simon Kinberg is also attached to a separate ‘Star Wars’ project.

Known for his success with the ‘X-Men’ series, Kinberg is reportedly working on a new trilogy.

Although details remain scarce, speculation suggests this trilogy may tie into Rey’s journey, potentially intertwining her story with other key figures and events in the galaxy.

Adding to the excitement, DanielRPK has revealed that another Rey-focused movie is already in early development.

While the exact storyline for this additional film remains a mystery, it’s clear that Lucasfilm is betting heavily on Rey’s character to carry the franchise forward.

This expansion into multiple narratives hints at a broader vision for Rey’s arc, delving into her personal growth, her legacy as a Skywalker, and her efforts to bring balance back to the Force.

This emphasis on Rey represents a bold strategy by Lucasfilm, signaling their commitment to exploring fresh stories while maintaining ties to the iconic legacy of the original trilogies.

By placing Rey at the center of this effort, the studio is reinforcing her importance as a cornerstone of the franchise’s future.
