A Rogue/Gambit Movie Could Be an Even Better Option than Tatum’s Solo Movie Based on the Comic Book Story
Deadpool & Wolverine was regarded by many fans as the most anticipated movie of the year. The moment has finally arrived for fans to witness these two iconic characters united on the big screen, which was a moment they had been waiting for a long time. Given the movie’s multiversal nature, a lot of Easter Eggs and cameo appearances were expected, and the movie definitely delivered.
Even though we’ve already found and discussed the majority of these cameos, there are always more details we can give you about particular individuals. This report will cover Gambit, a well-known X-Men character who made a brief cameo appearance in the film and was represented by Channing Tatum.
As you know, Channing Tatum and the fans are rooting for a solo Gambit movie to happen soon, but based on Gambit’s comic book storyline, we have come up with a completely different idea that might be an even better one than a solo Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum.
In case you forgot, Channing Tatum has been rooting for his own Gambit movie ever since Deadpool & Wolverine premiered, and he revealed the following:
I would do pretty much any version of Gambit, to be honest. I think we will, hopefully. At least I’m talking to Kevin, and I just want to be in any MCU stuff. To get to dress up again as him would be enough. I felt like [Deadpool & Wolverine] was truly a make-a-wish sort of thing that my friend did for me. It was like, “Come in, and I’ll let you dress up as your favorite superhero character.” I was having an out-of-body experience just standing next to Hugh. It was like, “Oh, my God, there’s Wolverine. There’s Blade! Elektra – everyone’s here, this is wild.” Your mouth to God’s ears, friend. Help me will it into existence.

And while this is not a confirmation that a Gambit movie is in the works, we can actually say that we have an even better idea. Namely, in case you do not know, Gambit and Rogue had a very intense and interesting romance in the X-Men comics, a romance that made them a very popular couple among the fans. So, what does this have to do with anything, you might wonder?
Well, we know that the X-Men are coming to the MCU in an official capacity very, very soon. And since Rogue is one of the most important mutants in the series, there is no doubt that she will be included in these upcoming projects. Now, connecting this fact with the fact that she had a romance with Gambit… why not make a Rogue/Gambit movie that would see them work together and explore their romance on the screen?
This sounds like a great idea if you ask us and we’d definitely love to see it. Tatum would, of course, return for the role, and he could be joined by either Alexandra Daddario or Miley Cyrus, two actresses who have recently been put forward by the fans for the role of Rogue in the MCU.
