Russell Crowe's Role In Kraven The Hunter Possibly Revealed

A new report from The Illuminerdi suggests that Russell Crowe’s role in the upcoming Kraven The Hunter movie is possibly revealed.

They suggest that he could be playing Nikolai Kravinoff, who is the father of Spider-Man’s villain, Kraven.

In Marvel comics, Nikolai is the father of not only Kraven but also Chameleon, which we recently found out is played by White Lotus star Fred Hechinger.

Not much is actually known about the character, except that he will probably play a sizable role in the movie.

This does come a bit as a surprise because Nikolai isn’t really a big comic name, actually, it is very rarely mentioned in the comics.

We were hoping that star like Russell Crowe will play a bigger role in Marvel movies, even though, it looks like Marvel (Disney, Sony, Fox) sticks with its formula of having big Hollywood names in small roles (Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, Idris Elba, Matt Damon, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Redford, Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Sylvester Stallone, Sam Neill, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Pfeiffer and many others).

Because, even if he has some bigger role in Kraven The Hunter movie, which is highly unlikely, there is a very small chance that he will be in future Sony/Marvel movies.

Crowe is the third Kraven The Hunter actor we know about, two others are Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the title character Kraven, and Fred Hechinger as his illegitimate half-brother Chameleon.

From the comics we know that Nikolai Kravinoff had a pretty bad upbringing of Kraven and Chameleon and was abusing them often. So it is not a big surprise they both turn out as they did and often on separate sides.

We are looking forward to finding out more about the movie and its characters, but we will have to wait until next year to find out everything. Kraven the Hunter will be in theaters on January 13, 2023.
