Next month, Sam Wilson is back in the spotlight in a fresh solo comic series, Sam Wilson: Captain America. This new story comes from writers Evan Narcisse and Greg Pak, with artwork by Eder Messias. The series kicks off with Sam going to Isaiah Bradley’s birthday party, from where things will take a darker turn.

If you remember, we have already reported on this particular comic book series, as it confirmed the return of Josiah X, the son of Isaiah Bradley, the man who once served as Captain America in secret government experiments. Josiah will appear in #2, but even before that, the series will tackle an interesting storyline.

Although the series won’t be connected to the upcoming Brave New World movie, it seems that the authors will nod to the movie in as many ways as they can, seeing how Sam Wilson will appear as Captain America and his first opponent will be – Red Hulk!

Sam Wilson: Captain America is brought to us by the creative team consisting of Greg Pak & Evan Narcisse & Eder Messias & Valentine De Landro, with a cover by Taurin Clarke. The official synopsis of the upcoming first issue in the series has been described as follows:

SAM WILSON SOARS AGAIN! When Captain America attends a birthday party for Isaiah Bradley, he catches wind of a new tech venture that sounds too good to be true: magnificent floating platforms in the sky, where the disenfranchised can apply for land grants and establish their own farms.

But after Sam discovers the organization’s dark underbelly, he’ll have to tangle with its head of security: Red Hulk! Greg Pak (INCREDIBLE HULK, WEAPON H), Evan Narcisse (RISE OF THE BLACK PANTHER) and Eder Messias (PHASES OF THE MOON NIGHT) join forces for a high-flying Cap adventure!

As you can see, a lot of thrills await in the upcoming storyline, even before Josiah X enters the story with his own agenda that will, hopefully, align with Sam’s. With so many characters from the movie present, this is definitely going to be one of the hottest titles in the near future.

The title is coming out on January 1, 2025, and before we conclude, here are some images from the comic book and some variant covers:
