Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Turns Villain: Her MCU Kill Count Reveals Why It Makes Perfect Sense
When they battle, superheroes and other comic book characters usually cause a lot of damage. Of course, in the case of the superheroes, this isn’t intentional, but damage and casualties do occur whether they want it or not. Sometimes, though, heroes deliberately inflict casualties because taking down their opponents is essential to winning.
A “no-kill” policy is sometimes adopted by superheroes like Batman or Superman, however, this is an exception rather than a rule. Superheroes usually don’t think twice about eliminating their enemies, be they monsters, extraterrestrials, or other sorts of foes.
In light of that, we are going to talk about the kill count of a very important comic book character, or, more specifically, about the kill count of her version from the MCU. The character in question is Scarlet Witch, and – believe it or not – her actual numbers in the series confirm that her villainous turn actually made a lot of sense.
The source for the data we have for you is a list from IMDb, composed by user Creedswede, who made an effort to chronicle the kill count of all major and minor MCU characters, with several important notes. Based on the data he has presented, Scarlet Witch’s kill count is as follows:
- Avengers: Age of Ultron – 1
- Captain America: Civil War – 2
- Avengers: Infinity War – 127
- Avengers: Endgame – 62
- WandaVision – 11
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – 38
- Total kills: 241+
Additionally, she made an appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but she had no kills in that movie. She is also rumored to appear in at least two additional series (Agatha All Along and Vision), but that hasn’t happened yet so we don’t have anything to say in this aspect. We’ve already taken into account her WandaVision kills, as you can see in the list above.
With a total of at least 241 confirmed kills, the Scarlet Witch is one of Marvel’s most dangerous characters in that aspect. She far surpasses most superheroes, like Captain America or even the Hulk, but not just that – this number is so “impressive” that she surpasses most supervillains who have appeared in the MCU.
In that aspect, we can actually confirm that her villainous turn in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness actually makes a lot of sense and that the numbers support this.
As for the future… well, her character is seemingly dead, but that doesn’t have to mean much in the MCU, so she is rumored to appear in the upcoming Doomsday and/or Secret Wars movies, but we don’t know that yet.
These numbers have been updated as of Deadpool & Wolverine, although Scarlet Witch did not have an appearance in that movie, so we can assume that they are accurate.
