The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series just shook things up with a huge reveal at the 2025 Sapporo Snow Festival: the second anime film, titled Gekijō-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Sōkai no Namida-hen (Tears of the Blue Sea Arc), is coming soon!

It’s set to hit theaters in Japan in February 2026, with animation by 8-Bit. A teaser visual was shown at the event, and Bandai Namco Filmworks’ YouTube channel streamed it live.

That’s not all. The TV anime is getting a fourth season. The third season, which aired in April 2024, wrapped up with its 24th episode on September 27. It was a long ride, running for two back-to-back cours. Crunchyroll streamed it as it aired, along with an English dub.

Atsushi Nakayama was back in the director’s seat, and Toshizo Nemoto handled the scripts. Ryōma Ebata returned as character designer, while Hitoshi Fujima from Scarlet Bond and Visions of Coleus composed the music.

The anime first hit screens in October 2018, adapting Taiki Kawakami’s manga, which is based on Fuse and Mitz Vah’s light novel series. Crunchyroll streamed the show, while FUNimation handled the dub.

The second season came in 2021, starting in January. After its first part ended, The Slime Diaries spin-off aired from April to June. Then, the second half of season two followed in July, keeping us entertained for a solid nine months straight.

The first movie, Scarlet Bond, dropped in November 2022, while the *three-episode special, Coleus’ Dream, debuted in November 2023. Both are available on Crunchyroll with subs and an English dub.

With a new movie and another season confirmed, Tensura isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
