SK∞ the Infinity definitely is coming back as a sequel anime project was announced back in 2021. Now, whether that is going to be a second season of the anime or a sequel movie project is, as of yet, unknown, but SK∞ the Infinity definitely is coming back. SK∞ the Infinity Season 2 release date

On September 13, 2020, Japanese popular culture site Mantan Web, owned by the Mainichi Shinbun group, reported that animation studio Bones and Hiroko Utsumi are working on a new original anime together. A week later, on September 20, the series was officially announced to air on January 10, 2021.

It is directed by Hiroko Utsumi with a screenplay by Ichirō Ōkouchi, while Michinori Chiba takes care of the character design. The series airs in the ANiMAZiNG!!! ABC and TV Asahi4 channels. The opening, titled “Paradise”, is interpreted by Rude-α. The first end credits, titled “Dimensions of the Wind”, is performed by ASH DA HERO, while the second end credit, titled “Infinity” is performed by Yūri.

In 2021, it was confirmed that SK∞ the Infinity would be getting a new anime project, with further information to follow on Twitter sometime in the future. Now, it’s been almost a year since that moment and we haven’t received any new information on the future anime project, so we don’t actually know much more. SK∞ the Infinity is coming back, but how and when? We still don’t know.

As you can see, the future of SK∞ the Infinity is good, as we know we are getting a sequel to the anime series. And while we don’t have many facts, to begin with, the earliest we could see a potential second season is 2024, but we’d have to get some confirmation on the future during 2022 or 2023 for that to happen.

SK∞ the Infinity Season 2 trailer

You now know all the facts and our thoughts related to SK∞ the Infinity Season 2, which means that you’ve probably deduced for yourselves that there is no trailer for the second season of SK∞ the Infinity. This is because we do not know whether there will even be a second season of the show, which means that a trailer might not appear at all. But, based on all the information we have, we still don’t know whether the sequel anime is going to be a series or a movie.

As we have said, SK∞ the Infinity is coming back at some unspecified point in the future. We don’t know in which form the sequel is going to come back, as we haven’t gotten any additional information since 2021. This is why we cannot speculate as to the trailer and its content, since we don’t know much about the future of SK∞ the Infinity.

Taking into account everything we’ve said, a trailer for SK∞ the Infinity is unlikely to come out this year. The earliest we could see a trailer is 2023, but we would have to get some additional information sometime during 2022 for that to happen.

SK∞ the Infinity Season 2 plot

At this moment, we do not know where the second season of SK∞ the Infinity could take us because it is an original story, and we still have to wait for any news about the planned continuation. Namely, due to a lack of information in general, we have absolutely no clue how far the second season might go if it even happens. What follows is a general overview of the show’s plot.

High school student Reki Kyan is an avid skateboarder and often secretly participates in illegal races at the “S,” a racetrack in an old mine where Okinawa’s skaters meet at night. They also compete in beefs, which often turn out to be dangerous. When Langa Hasegawa, a new student who grew up in Canada, comes to his class, Reki takes him there.

And it soon turns out that Langa is not only interested in skating, but also has a lot of experience as a snowboarder from an early age. Under the guidance of Reki, who teaches him the basics of this somewhat different sport, Langa quickly outgrows his friend. In addition, Reki builds him an individually tailored board.

So Langa surprisingly wins against the skater “Shadow”, who is known in S, who likes to work with bad tricks, and then against the much younger Miya, who competes in the national team. This is how Langa quickly gained notoriety among visitors to S. They make a strict distinction between their nights on the skateboard and their everyday life – talking about what is happening in S elsewhere is taboo.

And like Shadow, a few more are in disguise and aliases skating the night away, including the chef known as “Joe” and “Cherry Blossom,” who’s a respected calligrapher by day. After the victory, a legendary skater appears to take on Langa: Adam, who once founded S. He is a local politician who supports S and is known to be an avid but also ruthless, sadistic, and unpredictable skater.

However, his match with Langa turns out to be surprisingly close – before it is broken up by the police and everyone flees. As a politician, Adam is also involved in some illegal activities and power struggles alongside S, so that an ambitious investigator is now breathing down his neck. At the same time, Reki’s fight against Adam becomes too dangerous and he makes Langa promise not to fight him again.

Although Langa has promised not to compete again, he continues to be at S’s with Reki often. Former competitors Shadow and Miya become friends, as do Joe and Cherry. But while Adam announces a competition, Reki finds Langa passing him with his skating skills – he is known to everyone at S as “Snow” and competes with the best.

Reki doesn’t know if skating is still right for him and stays away from his friends, especially since Langa wants to enter Adam’s competition despite his promise. Then Reki realizes through his boss, for whom he also works in the skateboard shop, through a confrontation with other skaters and Tadashi and while secretly observing Langa that he may not be as good as he is, but wants to support his friend.

Without Reki, he had already started to lose the fun of skating, which is now returning with Reki. A mysterious new skater who appears to be Adam’s equal also makes an appearance at the competition. It is about his servant Tadashi, who once taught him to skate and now wants to prevent Adam from getting too lost in it and jeopardizing his career – especially since his master has long since stopped having real fun with it, but a great one Bitterness and inner loneliness and the one who is looking for his equal, his “Eva”.

Now he has chosen Langa as a candidate for it. As the competition progresses, Tadashi realizes that Langa’s skill and love of skating can cure Adam of his bitterness and lets him go first.

Surprisingly, Adam only narrowly defeats Reki, who is now also competing, which does not detract from his newly won enthusiasm for skating. In the particularly dangerous final, Langa narrowly defeats Adam and shows him that he isn’t lonely either and that he can enjoy skating again.

SK∞ the Infinity Season 2 cast
