Spider-Man Is Ready to Face a Rogue Predator in New Story
Crossovers are something we generally like to see. Despite the fact that they are generally not considered to be canon, they are often interesting, and they often give us an alternative story that we desperately want to see. Both DC and Marvel publish crossover stories from time to time, and this report is about a new Marvel crossover we have already talked about as more information has been revealed.
The story that we are going to focus on is not new per se, as it is a continuation of a series of crossovers between Marvel and one of the most popular film franchises of all time. Some of you might already know what we are talking about and it is the Predator series, whose third Marvel crossover is coming up next year.
Namely, in a recent report, we revealed that the Predators, after being defeated by Black Panther, are going to target a new Marvel superhero – Spider-Man – and Marvel has just revealed more information about the upcoming crossover!
Predator vs Spider-Man will bring an intense new battle that will change the way we see Spider-Man’s toughest foes. This series introduces a deadly new Predator called Skinner, who is unlike any threat Peter Parker has faced before. With a complete lack of honor or allegiance, Skinner is driven purely by a thirst for blood, making him a truly terrifying enemy.
The story kicks off during a brutal heat wave in New York City, where a blackout pushes the city’s tension to the limit. As tempers rise across the streets, Spider-Man is out on patrol.
But things take a darker turn when he discovers a new and vicious threat lurking beneath the city. Deep in the sewers and subways, Skinner awaits, ready to hunt anyone in his path. The official synopsis reveals more information:
Spider-Man is at the top of every writer’s wishlist. I’m thrilled and grateful to get this opportunity, putting this beloved webslinger against the galaxy’s greatest hunters in the urban wilderness of New York, It’s so much fun to live in Peter Parker’s world — and to put my own wild spin on his relationship with MJ, Jonah Jameson, and (yes — oh, hell yes) Kraven.
Marcelo Ferreira captures the visual dynamism of Spidey so well, and we’ve had a lot of fun designing a Predator that is unlike any other. This Yautja — who we’re calling Skinner — has no code or clan. He’s the perfect nightmarish foil to the big-hearted Parker.
This four-issue series promises to deliver a brutal and thrilling story that will leave Spider-Man fans on the edge of their seats. The comic book is out on sale on April 23, 2025.
