At the end of the school day, Martha and Becky Blackbell leave Anya Forger at the school bus station, but while Anya waits for the school bus, someone announces that the bus driver has fallen ill and the next bus would be late, so Anya decides to stay and wait. Henry Henderson sees her alone and asks her to help him carry some things.
Anya hesitates but accepts when he offers her candy. As they walk back to school, Henderson asks Anya if she is having fun at school and she says that is fine, but quickly asks if she has a tone because she is not having fun. Henderson tells her that she won’t and that she can count on him if she has any problems.
Anya tells him that she is perfectly fine, which shocks Henderson as he knows Anya received 2 Tonitrus Bolts and she feels no sadness or worry. Worried about not getting her candy, Anya tells him she’s a bit worried about the Tonitrus and reassures Henderson. Anya tells him that she knows she carries a lot of tissues since her last Tonitrus was not having any.
