In an exciting announcement at the 2024 Disney APAC Content Showcase, it was shared that ‘Star Wars: Visions’ will make a much-anticipated return with its third volume in 2025.
This news marks another significant chapter for the series that first captured the hearts of audiences in 2021.
The unique aspect of ‘Star Wars: Visions’ lies in its foundation in Japanese anime, which beautifully merges the epic saga of Star Wars with diverse cultural narratives.
After venturing globally in its second volume with contributions from animators around the world—from India to Ireland, and Chile to South Korea—the series is returning to Japan for its third installment.
The forthcoming volume promises to be a celebration of anime artistry, featuring nine new shorts by an array of prestigious studios.
Fans will see work from both returning creators such as Kamikaze Douga, Kinema Citrus Co., Production I.G, and TRIGGER, as well as new participants including ANIMA (in a joint effort with Kamikaze Douga), David Production, Polygon Pictures, Project Studio Q, and WIT Studio.
This lineup highlights the ongoing commitment to showcasing the rich variety and creativity that Japanese animation has to offer.
