‘The Book of Boba Fett’ – New Star Wars Spin-Off Announced
In this article, there will be spoilers for The Mandalorian season 2, so be warned.
The final of the second season of The Mandalorian confirms that a new Star Wars spin-off TV show is on the way.
In the post-credit scenes of “The Rescue,” the final episode of season 2, we saw The Book of Boba Fett’s announcement, a new Star Wars spin-off TV show, which will come to Disney+ in December 2021.
It looks like this will be a completely new TV show, even though it could just be an arc for the third season of The Mandalorian.
At the end of this episode, which also includes real and de-aged Luke Skywalker, we see a short scene in which Boba and Fennec Shand pay a visit to the Palace of Jabba the Hutt looks, that like it is ruled by Bib Fortuna.
After he got rid of his friend, we see Boba sit on Jabba’s throne, and then “The Book of Boba Fett” appears. After that, they confirm the release date, which will be December 2021.
If this is really a TV show, it may be limited series, just as are Obi-Wan Kenobi and Lando Calrissian.
The Book of Boba Fett is one more Star Wars TV show in a big bunch of series upcoming to Disney+, that alongside Obi-Wan and Lando include Andor, The Acolyte, Rangers of the New Republic, Ahsoka, The Bad Batch, and Visions.
