The Boys is one of the most popular superhero series in the world, and its fourth season has been doing great since its June 13, 2024 premiere. The season is currently Certified Fresh with high ratings, and Amazon has reported that the series also saw an increase in viewership. On the other hand, a large number of dissatisfied fans are review-bombing the season due to its increased political undertone, but that doesn’t seem to bother the showrunners the least.

Today, on the 4th of July, The Boys have released Episode 6, “Dirty Business,” of Season 4 and we on Fiction Horizon have seen the episode for you. It was a pretty balanced and solid take, with the title delivering in more ways than one.

However, this article won’t be our review of the episode; rather, it will be a compilation of the first fan reactions. We have gone to Twitter and IMDb to read what the fans are saying, and you will be able to read the first comments in this article.

So, based on the comments we have, the fans seem to be satisfied with this episode in terms of quality, but there were some moments that confused them, and we agree that this show went back to the roots as far as the style and some narrative choices are concerned. One Twitter user, for example, was utterly confused:

At the same time, an IMDb comment praised the episode: “The boys season 4 episode 6 is another addition to the already great overall season 4 that is being bestowed upon our eyes. This episode really kicks into the final plan of the supes and what their overall plan is as we didn’t know before, the drama is on point like always and the tek manor was a great set piece to have most of the episode take place in.”

Some fans also noticed a similarity with Fight Club in this episode, as some of the Twitter comments reveal:

At the same time, another IMDb user commented on how shocking, yet entertaining the episode was: “The Boys” continues to shock me further and further with the way they get plot points across in ‘fashionable’ style. This is not boring television people!”

And one of the more shocking moments was, as you might assume, related to Homelander and his love of milk:

Finally, an IMDb comparison states that the episode is a bit calmer than the previous two, which we can agree with: “I was expecting the episode to drop a bit from the last 2 because they were so wild !!”
