‘The Boys’ Season 5 Welcomes Daveed Diggs, That’s All Ya Get For Now
The Boys is one of the most popular superhero series in the world. Based on the same-titled comic book, this dark take on the superhero genre gained a lot of traction on Amazon Prime and keeps pushing the boundaries of what can be shown on TV in a number of ways.
As the series is preparing for the production of its fifth and final season, more information about the series is bound to appear.
That means that we can expect plot leaks, production details, photos, and videos, as well as some new casting information, and this report is going to be about the latter.
Namely, the official Twitter account of The Boys just confirmed a new casting for the fifth and final season of the show, but the tweet contained only the bare minimum and was composed just as you would expect a tweet posted by The Boys to be composed.
As you know, the state of things in the series is quite chaotic following the conclusion of Season 4, and everyone is teasing a bats*it crazy final season that will turn everything on its head.
Each character is in a dire situation, so a lot of interesting character development is to be expected, but that doesn’t mean that the final season will not introduce us to new characters. Before we continue, here is the Tweet in question:
New S5 crumbs… let’s all welcome Daveed Diggs to The Boys family, shall we? He’ll be playing a character in the show. That’s all ya get for now. pic.twitter.com/rgEf740UNN

Yes, the tweet itself was a killer, with The Boys account, with that Butcher image, telling us that we shouldn’t be hoping for more at this point. But, be that as it may, Daveed Diggs is officially joining the final season of The Boys and if the fan reactions in the comments are to be trusted, the fans are quite excited about this.
Known for his breakout dual roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the musical Hamilton, Diggs later appeared in the series Black-ish (2016–2018) and co-starred in the films Wonder (2017), Velvet Buzzsaw (2019) and The Little Mermaid (2023), and is one of the stars of the Snowpiercer series, which is where most comic book fans will have seen him.
At this moment, we don’t know whom Diggs will be playing as the tweet reveals absolutely nothing, but the crew is definitely teasing the final season for us and in the best way possible. A sad reminder, though, that The Boys Season 5 won’t be premiering before 2026, as has been confirmed by Kripke and Amazon in the meantime. U
