However, outside of China and in English, donghua is the colloquial term for Chinese animation and refers specifically to animation produced in China. In that aspect, donghua is not the same as anime.

The first season of The Daily Life of the Immortal King had a total of 15 episodes and ended on March 28, 2020. The second season premiered on October 30, 2021 and ended on January 8, 2022, after 12 episodes.
