The Daywalker Meets His Nemesis Once Again in New ‘Blade’ Story

Blade is, as you know, one of Marvel’s biggest and most popular characters despite not being part of the mainstream palette of Marvel’s superheroes. Blade is an unconventional superhero and the stories he is featured in are often unconventional as well, and that is a factor that most certainly contributes to his popularity.

We know that the cinematic version of the character is in trouble, as no one knows what the MCU plans to do with Mahershala Ali’s vision of the character, but the same cannot be said about the comic books, which are enjoying a very successful and significant run.

We have recently reported on the comic book clash between Blade and Doctor Strange, two big friends from the comics, and in this report, we are going to focus on another story that is coming up soon, which will see Blade face another character from his lore, so if you want to know more, just keep reading!

The comic book we are talking about is the upcoming Blade: Red Band #3 issue, which is brought to us by  Bryan Hill, C.F. Villa and Federica Mancin, with a cover by C.F. Villa. The story is a continuation of a very popular series that highlights Blade’s new adventures and the upcoming issue will see him face a nemesis of his that has been a part of Blade’s life for a while now. Here is the official synopsis:

VAN HELSING! As dark magic abounds and the world descends into chaos, BLADE, the Daywalker, finds himself in the crosshairs of a dangerous and deadly ALL-NEW FOE: once on the side of good, the latest in the lineage of VAN HELSING! Witness the first appearance of the next legendary Marvel monster hunter!

As you can see, Van Helsing is coming to the story, which is certainly going to be exciting! Van Helsing is Marvel’s legendary monster hunter and a character with a solid literary legacy, and also a character who can – and will – challenge Blade in a proper way, which is – to be honest – probably everything the fans expect from this epic encounter in the upcoming issue.

As said, this issue is certainly going to be an interesting one and we are sure that the fans are going to enjoy the upcoming story, which is going to be the middle part of one of Marvel’s best Blade storyline in recent months. In light of that, we cannot wait to read the whole thing and we can confirm that the comic book is coming out tomorrow, on December 25, 2024, from Marvel!
