The Fans Are Divided Over Who Should Replace Ralph Fiennes in the Upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ Series
As far as Harry Potter characters are concerned, Lord Voldemort is undoubtedly one of the most important and popular ones in the franchise as a whole. Why? Well, despite the fact that he is the series’ main villain, Voldemort managed to present himself as a major and believable villain, which is what the fans always appreciate.
The actor was portrayed by several actors before it was revealed that the resurrected Voldemort would be portrayed by legendary actor Ralph Fiennes, who did an amazing job in the movies, and it was his interpretation that helped make the character more popular. Despite hating him, everyone wanted to see more of Fiennes’ Voldemort.
The movies are, of course, over, and we know that a television series focused on the books is being worked on, which means that we will soon get new actors and actresses in old roles.
Because of this, the fans are debating the recastings online, and as far as Voldemort is concerned, it seems that there is no agreement as to who would be the ideal replacement for Fiennes.
A Reddit thread started by DALTT was established so that fans could discuss the potential choices, and it has the following description:
These are the actors that my head constantly goes to for Voldemort. I would say Cillian Murphy and Barnabas Cucumber are my top two, but I think a lot of these options would be great. I think Andy Serkis is a bit more of an outside the box option, but he’s so good with highly physical character acting.
