HBO’s hit series House of the Dragon is gearing up for an exciting return. Fans were thrilled at the CCXP23 panel in São Paulo, Brazil, where the official teaser for season two was released. Set to debut in summer 2024, this season promises more intriguing tales from the world of Westeros. The show, a prequel to “Game of Thrones,” delves into the history of House Targaryen, set 200 years before the original series.

Season two of “House of the Dragon” brings both familiar and new faces. Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Emma D’Arcy are returning, alongside Eve Best and Steve Toussaint. The cast also includes Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Joining them are Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

The new season introduces fresh characters to the mix. Keep an eye out for Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull and Jamie Kenna in the role of Ser Alfred Broome. Other additions include Kieran Bew, Tom Bennett, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. This season also welcomes Abubakar Salim, Gayle Rankin, Freddie Fox, and Simon Russell Beale.

The creative team behind this epic saga remains strong. George R.R. Martin, the co-creator and executive producer, continues to bring his rich world to life alongside co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal. The executive production team includes Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, and Vince Gerardis.

As fans eagerly await the next installment, the teaser has certainly set the stage for another season of political intrigue, fiery dragons, and the complex dynamics of the Targaryen household.
