‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 First Released Set Photos Reveal Ellie’s Girlfriend Dina, Played by Isabela Merced
In the opinion of most critics and fans, The Last of Us video game series is one of the best ever. And while it is a survival horror on the surface, the game is actually an exceptionally complex post-apocalyptic tale that sends a significant warning, as well as shows some great character development. HBO has adapted the video game into a live-action series starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. The series was a major hit, winning numerous awards and earning praise from fans and critics alike. Since the first season did not adopt the whole video game narrative, a second series was – naturally – ordered, which will focus on the sequel video game.
A release date has not been confirmed yet, but the series is being filmed as we speak, and we are happy to confirm that some set photos have been leaked online and that we can finally see one important character, set to debut in Season 2!
As stated above, Season 2 is going to focus on the sequel video game, which continues the story of Ellie and Joel, while introducing Abby as well. And while Abby will definitely be a major player in the season, the set photos we have for you feature another newcomer. Here they are:
Bella Ramsey’s Ellie is there and you can see another younger female character. Fans of the series will, of course, know that this is Dina, who is going to be played by Isabel Merced. These first leaks show the two characters together, and we can see how this will look once the series actually begins. As for the source of the photos, the following information has been released:

This was the least accommodating set I have worked in a few years….. which is weird, since there’s no spoilers that can be dropped, as its literally copied from a video game.At this set, they had Bella Ramsey as Ellie, doing a scene with Isabela Merced as Dina, as the pair are on a horse outside of the Weston Pharmacy that you saw from my last set of photos. This set was so tight, I am inclined to believe these are the only photos of them that were taken where you can actually identify them in the photos. Only way I got the pics of them on the horse, was shooting through two panes of glass.

As you might know, Dina is going to be a very important character in Season 2, as she is Ellie’s girlfriend. The game storyline between the two of them was one of the best narrative segments of the whole game, so we hope that the writers and producers will give us an equally great story in the series.
