Tom Hiddleston Responds to ‘Deadpool 3’ Fan Theory About Loki Cameo Role in the Movie
Recently, Tom Hiddleston, known for his role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, addressed rumors about his character appearing in the upcoming “Deadpool 3.” During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Hiddleston discussed the possibility of Loki and the Time Variance Authority from his Disney+ series cameoing in the movie.
Hiddleston acknowledged the production of “Deadpool 3,” but remained coy about the specifics. He humorously mentioned Ryan Reynolds’ ownership of a UK soccer team, diverting from directly confirming any cameo. He also touched on Loki’s ability to time-slip, suggesting that this power could open up various narrative possibilities, though he didn’t confirm if this would be used in “Deadpool 3.”
“Deadpool 3” has sparked excitement among fans with its star-studded cast. The film will feature Ryan Reynolds returning as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Morena Baccarin as Vanessa. Joining them are Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, with Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in undisclosed roles. Interestingly, Jennifer Garner is set to reprise her role as Elektra.
Directed by Shawn Levy, “Deadpool 3” is shaping up to be an intriguing addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the 34th film in the series, it’s expected to maintain the R-rating of its predecessors, making it a unique entry in the MCU. The script is a collaborative effort by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Ryan Reynolds, and Levy himself.
The film’s development journey began back in 2016 under 20th Century Fox but faced delays after Disney’s acquisition. Eventually, Marvel Studios took over, with filming starting in London and at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. Additional filming locations include Norfolk and Vancouver, Canada.
“Deadpool 3” is scheduled for release on July 26, 2024, and is part of Phase Five of the MCU. Fans eagerly await to see if Hiddleston’s Loki will indeed make an appearance, adding another layer to this highly anticipated film.
