Good news for anime fans! ‘Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-‘ is gearing up for its second season, and it’s dropping in January 2024. The brilliant minds at J.C. Staff are behind the animation, ensuring we’re in for a visual treat.

For those out of the loop, this anime made waves after its debut in 2021. Kei Azumi’s light novel series inspired it. The title might ring a bell – ‘Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchou.’ Since 2013, AlphaPolis has been treating readers with its publication. Not to mention, Kotora Kino crafts a manga adaptation.

The latest tidbits from the anime’s creators include a fresh visual and trailer. But what truly caught my attention was the addition of 10 cast members. Ai Kakuma will voice Hibiki Otonashi, while Ami Koshimizu will take on Navarre Polar. Chiharu Sawashiro is lending his voice to Belda Nortst Limia, and Natsue Sasamoto will bring life to Yukinatsu Kazusa. The list goes on, but these were a few standouts for me.

The plot revolves around Makoto Misumi, an average teen who’s pulled into another realm. But here’s the twist – instead of being celebrated as a hero, he’s insulted by the world’s goddess and branded ‘ugly.’ Stripped of his hero title, he’s banished to a desolate wasteland. It’s not all doom and gloom, though.

As Makoto navigates this new world, he uncovers a talent for magic and combat. Along his journey, he encounters an array of non-human species like dragons, orcs, and dwarves. With the challenges that lie ahead, one can’t help but wonder, will Makoto thrive or merely survive?

For the Japanese fans, a sneak peek from the official site paints a similar tale. A young man, once summoned to another world, was expected to battle against evil forces. However, a twist of fate sees him branded unworthy by the goddess. Left to wander the wilderness, he starts a quest for redemption, accompanied by formidable allies.
