‘Tsuyokute New Saga’ Reveals New Promo, Confirms July Release and Reveals More Cast Info

The upcoming Tsuyokute New Saga anime has dropped major updates, including a fresh key visual, a brand-new promotional video, and changes in its production team. The anime, based on Masayuki Abe’s light novel, was originally set to air in July 2023 but was delayed. Now, it’s officially back on track and will premiere this July on Tokyo MX and ABC.
Alongside the video, several new cast members were revealed. Kaori Maeda will voice Milena, while Hiroki Yasumoto plays Zentos. Riho Sugiyama takes on the role of Miranda, and Rie Hikisaka will voice Gō. Tetsu Inada joins as Gazas. They join the previously announced lineup featuring Yūma Uchida as Kyle, Hiro Shimono as Seran, Fairouz Ai as Lise, Asami Seto as Urza, and Minami Takahashi as Sildonia.
There’s been a shake-up behind the scenes as well. Naoki Mizusawa has stepped in as the new director, replacing Norikazu Ishigooka. The animation is now being handled by Sotsu x Studio Clutch with help from STUDIO MASSKET, taking over from Makaria and Yokohama Animation Lab.
Naoki Horiuchi is overseeing the production. Despite these changes, key staff members remain the same. Kenta Ihara is still leading the scripts, Nilitsu continues as the original character designer, and Atsushi Asahi is still credited for character designs. The music is in the hands of Shachō (SOIL&”PIMP”SESSIONS) and Hironori Anazawa.
The story follows Kyle, a warrior who defeats the Demon King but is suddenly sent four years into the past. With his memories intact, he sets out to rewrite history and prevent the world’s downfall.
The light novel first appeared online in 2012 before moving to AlphaPolis in 2013. The physical edition debuted in April 2013, featuring illustrations by Ryūta Fuse, and ran for 10 volumes until 2018. A manga adaptation by Jun Miura started in 2014 and wrapped up in July 2023. The 11th and final volume is on the way, with Alpha Manga publishing it in English as New Saga.
With a new team, fresh cast members, and a long-awaited release date, Tsuyokute New Saga is finally back on track. After its unexpected delay, it looks like this anime is gearing up for a strong comeback.
