Black Mandala is unleashing a new nightmare with Play Dead, a terrifying horror film that throws viewers into a relentless fight for survival.

Directed by Carlos ‘Charly’ Goitia, known for Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker and The 100 Candles Game: The Last Possession, this gruesome story is written by Gonzalo Mellid and Camilo Zaffora.

It follows Alison, played by Paula Brasca (What the Waters Left Behind), who wakes up in a dark basement, badly hurt and surrounded by lifeless bodies. Desperate to escape, she realizes the only way to survive is to stay perfectly still and pretend to be one of the dead. But something far worse is happening above her—a horrifying ritual that grows more disturbing by the second.

With nods to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Don’t Breathe, and The Collector, Play Dead combines brutal suspense and shocking horror in a way that will leave you breathless.

The film stars Paula Brasca alongside Catalina Motto, Luca Espindola, David Gomez Pascua, and many more. Cinematography is handled by Luciano Montes de Oca, with art direction by Paola Tolosa.

Taz Pereyra and Gabriela Lojo create the eerie costumes, while María Fernanda Curci and Florencia Ollé lead the makeup team. Yanel Castellano crafts gruesome special effects, and Anibal Morales brings chilling visuals to life. Sound design is managed by Germán Suracce and Ezequiel Brodsky.

Behind the production are Michael Kraetzer, Nicolás Onetti, Sayf Aram, Kenneth A. Bressers, and Carlos Goitia, delivering a nightmarish experience that pushes the limits of fear.
