Upcoming ‘Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise’ Anime Releases New Trailer, Reveals Additional Info
Exciting updates are out for the upcoming Tougen Anki TV anime. The show, set to premiere in Japan in July 2025, has revealed a fresh key visual, a new trailer, and additional character details. Streaming details for international viewers will be announced later.
The latest visual (see below) highlights the main characters—Shiki Ichinose, Jin Kougasaki, and Naito Mudano—showing off their powerful Oni abilities, known as ‘Blood Eclipse Release.’
The trailer (see below) introduces five new students from Rasetsu Academy, each bringing a unique touch to the series.
The new characters are voiced by Manaka Iwami as Homare Byobugaura, Shogo Sakata as Ikari Yaoroshi, Natsuki Hanae as Juji Yusurube, Kaito Miura as Rokuro Kiriyama, and Aimi as Kuina Sazanami. They join the previously announced main cast, including Kazuki Ura as Shiki Ichinose, Hiroshi Kamiya as Naito Mudano, and Kotaro Nishiyama as Jin Kougasaki.
Ato Nonaka is directing the series, with key staff members like Hiroyuki Hashimoto as assistant director, Yukie Sugawara handling the scripts, and Ryoko Amisaki designing the characters. The music is composed by Kohta Yamamoto, known for his work on Attack on Titan: The Final Season. Studio HIBARI is producing the animation.
Based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, which began in 2020, the series has grown popular, with 22 volumes released so far. Yen Press publishes the English version under the title Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood.
The story follows Shiki Ichinose, who discovers his Oni heritage after an attack by Momotaro, setting him on a journey to uncover the truth about his bloodline. This anime is the second phase of the Tougen Anki project, following a 2024 stage play adaptation.
With its rich storyline and powerful visuals, Tougen Anki promises to be a thrilling addition to the anime world.
