On January 22, Liden Film’s original sports TV anime Ryman’s Club, also known as Salaryman’s Club, will premiere on TV Asahi and other channels. It will also air on BS Asahi on January 28, shortly after. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime on their website.
The official website of Ryman’s Club released the 2nd PV that revealed the anime’s ending theme song. Japanese singer and songwriter Mafumafu created the ending song, entitled “Nisen Gohyaku Man no Ichi” or “1/25,000,000” in English.
Here’s the 35-second PV uploaded on NUMAnimation’s YouTube channel:
Ryman’s Club tells the story of a corporate badminton team. That’s right; the players are not in high school. The TV anime focuses on the daily lives of salarymen and their love for badminton. The anime is a different take in the sea of sports anime, focusing on high school or college students.
Mafumafu commented on the ending theme song and said it’s about spending time with the people we love. He wrote the song thinking about the probability of someone meeting unique people and accomplishing something spectacular together. He says the chances for this occurrence is 1/25,000,000.
Some of the cast members for the upcoming TV Anime include Junya Enoki as Mikoto Shiratori, Shinichiro Miki as Tatsuru Miyazumi, and Kaito Ishikawa as Sōta Saeki.
