Vincent D’Onofrio Hints at ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Adapting Another Comic Arc Aside from ‘Born Again’
The highly anticipated Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again will surely have a big influence on MCU television going forward, with many fans considering it a potential turning point. Why?
Well, Marvel now has access to a wider cast of characters than it has in the past, which presents a lot of interesting options, but Daredevil and the other characters grouped under the original Marvel TV umbrella already have their own histories, so it will be interesting to see how Marvel will reconcile that.
There are still a lot of unresolved concerns about the upcoming series, despite the fact that we already know a lot about the show and its characters. The actors have been throwing hints at us here and there, and it seems that Vincent D’Onofrio, who is playing Kingpin in the series, just provided us with another major hint.
Namely, D’Onofrio was a guest at the recently-held Dragon Con, where he talked to the fans and answered their questions. He was asked by a fan about a particular storyline and his answer has been interpreted as a major spoiler for the upcoming series!
So, as stated, we already know a lot about Daredevil: Born Again, but it seems that the cast and crew still have some surprises for us. At Dragon Con, D’Onofrio was asked whether he would, at one point, like to play in an adaptation of the Devil’s Reign storyline, a famous comic book arc that saw Mayor Kingpin outlaw superheroes entirely, and here is what he said:
That’s a very interesting question. I cannot answer that because we have a new season coming out of Daredevil. I’m sure you get it. Otherwise, I would just flap my lips for the next thirty minutes and it would be so much fun, but that’s not happening.

Of course, the fans went completely crazy while listening to this, and D’Onofrio himself implied pretty clearly that the Devil’s Reign arc will be part of the upcoming series. We don’t have any details for you right now, so we don’t know whether the arc is going to be adapted in the first season of the show, whether it will be just foreshadowed, or whether D’Onofrio is teasing the arc for a potential second season of the show.
