Netflix just revealed its upcoming movie lineup, and it looks like they’re still going all in on blockbuster films. Despite all the talk about them cutting back, the list of upcoming releases proves otherwise. There’s a lot to look forward to, including new action thrillers, sequels, and even a few surprises.

A few major titles got official release dates or general time frames. One of the most talked-about films is Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which will hit Netflix in fall 2025.

Rian Johnson is back with another case for Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig. This time, he’s got a fresh cast, including Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.

Among the other titles to be released are the Stephen Chbosky-directed comedy Nonnas, starring Lorraine Bracco, Linda Cardellini, and Drea de Matteo, and the long-awaited Charlize Theron Skydance action sequel The Old Guard 2.

We can also add Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, the Gareth Evans action thriller Havoc, Fear Street: Prom Queen, A Merry Little Ex-Mas, Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly, the Ben Affleck and Matt Damon cop thriller RIP, The Woman in Cabin 10, and Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow’s next untitled movie to the list.

Even with all the talk about cutbacks, this lineup proves Netflix isn’t stepping away from event films anytime soon. If anything, they’re doubling down. Expect more first looks and teasers in the coming months as these projects get closer to release.
