Netflix is probably the most popular streaming service globally. The content is simply amazing – from original movies to classics, from original series and some classic shows, animated content, and even anime… Netflix has it all. Sometimes, if you’re not that decisive or informed, it might be difficult to decide what to watch, which is why we have decided to help you with this list.

In light of some of the service’s recent successes, we have decided to consult Rotten Tomatoes, one of the most popular review sites globally, and bring you the list of the 10 best series available on Netflix based on their Rotten Tomatoes score. The series will be ranked from 10th to 1st place, and we hope that it will help you. The list has been updated as of May 11, 2024 and if you want to check out the complete list with 100 titles, you can follow this link.

10. Derry Girls – 99%

Synopsis: Amidst the political conflict of Northern Ireland in the 1990s, five spirited students contend with the universal challenges of being a teenager.

This series is the only 99% title on this list, but it could’ve been 100% without any problems. Derry Girls is a heartwarming and wholesome take on a very turbulent historical period and a series that is loved by many, so we definitely recommend it!

9. Katla – 100%

Synopsis: The catastrophic eruption of subglacial volcano Katla turns a nearby community’s world upside down as mysteries begin to emerge from the ice.

The first 100% title on this list, Katla is an indie horror series that will absolutely mesmerize you. And while we understand that it might not be for everyone’s taste, it is a beautifully crafted work that deserves a place on this list.

8. Pokémon Concierge – 100%

Synopsis: Welcome to Pokémon Resort, a peaceful getaway for Pokémon to relax and have fun. Which guest will the new concierge Haru befriend and help first?

Pokémon Concierge was a refreshing take on the popular franchise and something that you could enjoy regardless of whether you’re a fan of the anime or not. It was a short, sweet, and heartwarming experience that we highly recommend!

7. Carol & The End of The World – 100%

Synopsis: As a planetary apocalypse looms, a woman struggling to embrace end-times chaos searches for meaning in her last months on Earth.

In case you’ve never heard of Carol & The End of the World, we don’t blame you, as the title earning a spot on this list is quite a surprise, although not unexpected! The show uses animation to tackle some deep and interesting slice-of-life topics, which is why we can understand why and how the critics loved it!

6. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – 100%

Synopsis: In a dystopia riddled with corruption and cybernetic implants, a talented but reckless street kid strives to become a mercenary outlaw — an edgerunner.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is also based on a video game and the series amazed everyone with its beautiful visuals and interesting plot. Based on everything we’ve seen, the series definitely deserves to be here!

5. Red Rose – 100%

Synopsis: A ragtag crew of teens must survive a summer of terror after downloading an app that makes dangerous demands with deadly consequences.

Red Rose is, in our honest opinion, a surprise. The series is not bad, far from it, but we did not expect it to be so high on this list. But, with the series effectively combining teen drama with horror, we can understand why people like it.

4. Blood of Zeus – 100%

Synopsis: A commoner living in ancient Greece, Heron discovers his true heritage as a son of Zeus, and his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army.

The series’ second season was released recently, and it seems that the critics are truly enjoying Blood of Zeus. This interesting take on Ancient Greek mythology is definitely a show to watch out for, so we’re not surprised that it landed a spot here.

3. Arcane: League of Legends – 100%

Synopsis: Amid the stark discord of twin cities Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on rival sides of a war between magic technologies and clashing convictions.

Arcane has been a hit since its premiere, and whether you’re a fan of animation or not, you love it. This fantasy series is based on a popular video game and it managed to become an absolute hit. We cannot wait for the second season!

2. Mo – 100%

Synopsis: In Texas, Mo straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a pending asylum request while hustling to support his Palestinian family.

Socially relevant, realistic, and very relatable, Mo is a drama series that managed to attract a lot of attention because of its topics, as well as the situation it depicts. We are not surprised that this series, despite not being a mainstream title, is beloved by the critics.

Honourable Mentions

These shows did not make it into the top 10, but we think they’re definitely worth your time. Better Call Saul and Beef are in 11th and 12th places, respectively, with an amazing 98% (both), and we definitely think they’re worth your time, as are Lupin (#14) and Baby Reindeer (#15). The Queen’s Gambit and Dark are classics, and there’s also the popular Squid Game series as well. Stranger Things, You, and Peaky Blinders also made it into the top 50, and these are our recommendations as well.

1. The Dragon Prince – 100%

Synopsis: An extraordinary discovery inspires two human princes and an elven assassin to team up on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands.

Another animated series takes the top spot! The Dragon Prince is more or less a unique experience, and we think that you’ll definitely love the blend of fantasy, adventure, and drama that this series presents, alongside its beautiful animation.
