It’s 2025, and the second season of Netflix’s hit show Wednesday is on its way! Filming wrapped up in Ireland recently, and the show is set to return later this year. While we already know quite a bit about the upcoming season, there are some new cast members to look out for, as has been revealed officially.

Over the holiday break, more details about supporting and minor characters were revealed. The cast lineup is expanding, with several new actors joining Jenna Ortega and the rest of the crew.

Netflix is already ramping up its marketing for the season, though we don’t have an official release date yet. A teaser was even featured during the NFL Games on Christmas Day.

We now know that Liv Spencer from KAOS and Knightfall will play a character named Varicose. Neri Zaccardelli steps in as Stassa, while Andrew Macklin, known from Doctor Who, will portray Gregg Mulligan. Kerry Shale of The Sandman fame joins as Gabe Packard, and Megan Elle Day will appear as Jennifer Tessbaum in episodes 3 and 4.

In addition, Derek Miller and Clare Gavin will be part of the new season, with Derek playing Dwayne and Clare’s role still under wraps. Gracy Goldman returns as Gabrielle Barclay for four episodes after her appearance in season 1.

But that’s not all! Some big names are joining Wednesday Season 2. Steve Buscemi will play the new principal, while Billie Piper is expected to portray Capri, a music teacher. Evie Templeton and Owen Painter will take on the roles of Annie and Karloff, respectively.

We’ll also see Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn. Others joining the cast include Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Philip Philmar, to name a few.

The first four episode titles have also been revealed. The season kicks off with ‘Here We Woe Again’, followed by ‘If These Woes Could Talk’, ‘The Devil You Woe’, and ‘The Great Outwoes’. Writers like Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, Matt Lambert, Valentina Garza, and Lauren Otero are back to script the episodes.

In a cool twist, Tim Burton will share directing duties with Paco Cabezas, known for directing episodes of The Umbrella Academy and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.
