Whatever you might think of the show, you cannot deny that Agatha All Along is full of mysteries. The show, which is going well on Disney+ and has been received well by both fans and critics, has one pronounced trait, and that is the mysteries that it keeps throwing at us.

Sure, some mysteries were solved by fans before the show revealed them. However, many questions remain unanswered. The series thrives on its enigmatic framework, providing fans with plenty to anticipate.

Given this, we decided to revisit the cards featured in the series. In a previous article, we explained the meaning of Agatha’s card. In this article, we will discuss the “Tower Reversed” card and its significance, which may provide insights into the series’ future.

The event we are talking about happened in Episode 6 of the series, “Familiar by Thy Side,” which featured Billy Kaplan’s Bar Mitzvah celebration, where the witch Lilia reads his future. She reads his palm, which reveals a split lifeline, and that is more or less clear, but she also out of the blue yells “Tower Reversed”. What does that mean?

The Tower card is very important in tarot, and according to A. E. Waite’s 1910 book The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, it means the following:

16. THE TOWER.– Misery, distress, indigence, adversity, calamity, disgrace, deception, ruin. It is a card in particular of unforeseen catastrophe. Reversed: Negligence, absence, distribution, carelessness, distraction, apathy, nullity, vanity.

This is a pretty grim fate, but when you get a reverse card in tarot, it usually means the opposite, as you can see, in the case of The Tower, the reversed aspect is also not that great, as you can see.

This is why it is important to explain what that could mean for Billy in the future. And while we don’t really know, there is a very interesting theory we found on Reddit that could explain it:

The tower reversed means avoiding a disastrous event.. Did Lilia place the sigil on him to hide him from darkhold WANDA in MoM.. If wanda sensed him she would have destroyed William instantly and effortlessly to get her whole sons being back..

and by doing this she avoided that (the tower reverse = avoided) or did the sigil work as a protection spell and saved his soul which is why billie and him now coexist in the body instead of just billie because technically he did die..

We agree with the first part of the theory, i.e., that it means that Billy did somehow avoid danger, but as stated, this doesn’t necessarily mean anything good for the character.

There is a lot of darkness there, and the series will further explore Agatha’s role in the whole story, which will definitely be related to Billy’s; there’s also a possible Wanda cameo that could influence this. Whatever it might be, the future seems intriguing and exciting!
