Where Is Ahsoka Going After The Book Of Boba Fett Episode 6?

Episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett had plenty of welcomed cameos that made fans scream out loud due to excitement. One of the cameos featured the return of Ahsoka Tano to the live-action Star Wars show after she made her live-action debut in season 2 of The Mandalorian. In that episode, Ahsoka left the planet on which Luke Skywalker was training Grogu, as she didn’t even stay to help train the little guy. So, where is Ahsoka going after The Book of Boba Fett?

Ahsoka Tano left Luke’s planet because she is probably going to continue her search for Grand Admiral Thrawn, who was their biggest threat in Star Wars: Rebels and could still be a threat to the New Republic. This was the mission she has had since her live-action debut in The Mandalorian season 2.

It is worthy to note that Ahsoka’s appearance in The Book of Boba Fett could be a precursor to her story during her own live-action series. As such, it was important for Ahsoka to show up in The Book of Boba Fett to tease fans of her next journey, as we await how her own series opens up in terms of its overall plot when it finally gets released.

Where Did Ahsoka Go At The End Of The Book Of Boba Fett Episode 6?

One of the best parts about episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett was the reappearance of some of the other characters that we have seen in The Mandalorian, as this episode seemed to be the convergence point for the most notable characters in the era of The Mandalorian. And one such character was Ahsoka Tano.

In episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett, we saw Din Djarin traveling all the way to the planet on which Luke Skywalker was training Grogu. When he was met by the astromech droid R2-D2, he said that he wanted to see “the kid,” and that was when he was taken to the site on which the new Jedi Temple was going to be built. Din Djarin waited for a while for someone sentient to meet him.

As the Mandalorian detected the presence of a person, that was when Ahsoka Tano revealed herself to Din Djarin and made her reappearance in the live-action series set during the same era as The Mandalorian. Ahsoka, who we all know used to be Anakin Skywalker’s padawan, was the one who welcomed Din Djarin to the planet and talked to him about Grogu’s training. And it was also revealed that R2 took Djarin to her because Anakin used to refer to her as “the kid.”

When Djarin told Ahsoka that he wanted to see Grogu, the former Jedi was quick to tell him that she warned him way back in season 2 of The Mandalorian that it would be difficult for them to part ways due to their strong attachment to one another. And she also told Djarin that Grogu’s mind would only become more clouded if he saw the Mandalorian.

While she didn’t explicitly say that Djarin was not allowed to see The Child, she ultimately convinced him to avoid showing up to Grogu because it would only disrupt his training. As we all know, Jedi are not allowed to have attachments in life. The Mandalorian left but not before he asked Ahsoka to give a present he had made for Grogu.

Later in the episode, we saw Ahsoka and Luke having a moment, as this was the first on-screen encounter between the two Force users who have a connection with Anakin.

As Ahsoka and Luke were conversing casually, the scene suggested that they had already met some time in the past after Return of the Jedi. That was probably when Ahsoka told Luke that she used to be his father’s padawan. She might have also told old war stories about Anakin before he fell to the dark side.

Nevertheless, Ahsoka gave Luke the gift that Din Djarin wanted to give to Grogu, as she suggested that she was going to leave the planet. This was when Luke asked her if he would ever see her again, to which Ahsoka told him “perhaps.”

Is Ahsoka Tano a Grey Jedi?

Leaving the planet suggests that Ahsoka was not going to stay with Luke for the long run to help train Grogu or even have an active role in rebuilding the Jedi Order. So, with that said, where was Ahsoka going?

Remember back in season 2 of The Mandalorian when Ahsoka was first introduced as a live-action character? She said that she was on the planet Corvus because she wanted information regarding a certain Grand Admiral Thrawn. She had reason to believe that the magistrate of a city on Corvus had information regarding him.

For those who have seen Star Wars: Rebels, Grand Admiral Thrawn is a familiar personality. Mitth’raw’nuruodo or simply Thrawn became the big bad guy of the series when the Grand Inquisitor was defeated and when Darth Vader gave the job of hunting down the Syndulla rebels to him. Ahsoka also played a huge role in that series, as she was a supporting character that helped the main characters in their rebellion against the Empire.

While Thrawn was not as powerful as Vader or even the Grand Inquisitor, he was a big threat to the rebels because of his intelligence and his relentless and ruthless approach when pursuing Ezra Bridger and the rest of the Syndulla rebels. However, in the final parts of the series, Ezra sacrificed himself by using the purrgil to blast himself and Thrawn into hyperspace so that the rebellion can win succeed without the Grand Admiral’s brilliant mind aiding the Empire.

Since Thrawn and Ezra were only thrown into hyperspace, they both survived. However, their whereabouts are unknown, and that is why Ahsoka, at the end of Rebels, decided to travel with Sabine Wren to bring Ezra Bridger back home.

It could be possible that, somewhere along the way, Ahsoka and Sabine went their separate ways to handle two birds with one stone. Ahsoka might have traveled around the galaxy to gather information about Thrawn. Meanwhile, Sabine Wren might have been the one who was tasked to gather information related to Ezra Bridger, as it is inevitable that she would appear in the future when it was confirmed that she would be making her live-action debut.

In that regard, following the visit to Luke’s planet, Ahsoka might have just made a detour to check up on the rebuilding of the Jedi Temple and on Grogu. She was still on a mission to find Grand Admiral Thrawn and quite Ezra Bridger. It is almost a certainty that Ezra will also be making his live-action debut, and that means that Ahsoka’s mission may also be connected to him.

Will Ahsoka Be Back?

Ahsoka’s appearance in The Book of Boba Fett is some sort of a teaser that will bridge the events between her appearance in The Mandalorian and her return in a starring role in the spin-off series ‘Ahsoka.’ So, yes, Ahsoka will certainly return to the live-action Disney+ Star Wars universe in her own show.

The series will most likely focus on Ahsoka’s journey following her appearance in The Book of Boba Fett. It is also likely that Ahsoka will tell us more about what she was up to between the end of Star Wars: Rebels and the era of The Mandalorian.

Of course, the good news here is that we are going to most likely see the return of the Rebels characters, as Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger will be making their live-action debut along with Grand Admiral Thrawn, who might return as the antagonist of the Ahsoka series. And the most exciting part is that Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy, is going to be making an appearance as well.

When Will Ahsoka Live-Action Show Release?

In a report that confirmed Hayden Christensen’s return to the Star Wars galaxy, it was reported that production for the Ahsoka Tano live-action spin-off series was not going to begin until early 2022. That means that considering that production and filming take time, we will not see Ahsoka’s series until 2023.

The most likely date of the Ahsoka series will be around early 2023 if the production and the filming of the series go smoothly. But it is also possible for the series to have a release date that is close to the middle of 2023.

Will We See Ahsoka Again In The Mandalorian Or The Book Of Boba Fett?

The current trajectory for Ahsoka’s journey will be more focused on her own spin-off show. However, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible for her to make another appearance in either The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Remember that The Mandalorian is the main Disney+ Star Wars show, and that means that all of the other spin-off shows will revolve around it. As such, it might be possible for us to see Ahsoka returning to The Mandalorian in the future. But we doubt that she would appear in The Book of Boba Fett again if this series is going to be a one-off.
