Season 3 of Umbrella Academy is fast approaching, and that means that we are set to meet new characters that are only going to make the story more interesting. In that regard, we know that the timeline had changed when the Hargreeves children of Umbrella Academy traveled back in time and returned to what they thought was their own timeline. However, they found out that history was changed when Jayme and a few other people were living in their home, which was now Sparrow Academy. So, who is Jayme in Umbrella Academy?

She is a member of the Sparrow Academy, which is the counterpart of the Umbrella Academy in a different timeline. Jayme’s spit has the power to cause hallucinations upon making contact with its target.
The introduction of Jayme and the other members of the Sparrow Academy makes the entire series more interesting because the Umbrella Academy Hargreeves siblings are now in an entirely different timeline. Of course, it will be quite intriguing to see how Jayme and her siblings will affect the storylines of the original characters in season 3.
Who Is Jayme In Umbrella Academy?
Similar to how season 1 ended, season 2 of Umbrella Academy had a massive cliffhanger that made us excited for the events of season 3. And that’s because the ending of season 2 showed us a huge event that changed the entire course of the Umbrella Academy story as we know it.
We all know that season 2 of Umbrella Academy kicked off with the Hargreeves siblings traveling back in time thanks to Number Five’s powers as they were about to die when Vanya destroyed the moon. They ended up traveling to the 60s but found themselves getting there at different times. However, they ended up changing the course of history when they met Sir Reginald Hargreeves, their adoptive father, who had already died in their timeline.
During the end of season 3, the Hargreeves siblings reunited and found their way back to their own timeline by using a briefcase from the Temps Commission. They found themselves back in the Umbrella Academy mansion where they grew up. But the siblings were surprised when they saw that the mansion had changed and that their adoptive father was still alive. And the most surprising change was the fact that Ben was alive and was now living with six other superpowered beings in what is known as the Sparrow Academy.
One of the siblings that Ben was with during that scene where he was revealed to be alive was Jayme. But who is Jayme in Umbrella Academy?
Jayme Hargreeves is one of the members of the alternate version of the Umbrella Academy in a different timeline. As mentioned, this group is called the Sparrow Academy, which is still headed by Sir Reginald Hargreeves but involves six different children on top of Ben. Jayme is one of the members of the Sparrow Academy, alongside her adoptive siblings.
It can be presumed that Jayme is similar to the Umbrella Academy Hargreeves siblings in the sense that she was one of the 43 children born on October 1, 1989. However, in this timeline, she was one of the seven children that Reginald Hargreeves was able to buy from her original parents. That means that it is the fact that she was born on the same day as the other 42 children that gave her powers.
Speaking of her powers, Jayme has the ability to spit out a venom that causes her targets to have hallucinations. This means that her powers, like all of the other Hargreeves siblings, are quite unique and are useful in a lot of specific situations. However, it seems possible that she is quite limited in battle, considering that her powers don’t seem like they are quite useful in a straight-up fight.
Another thing that’s quite unique to Jayme is her personality. Among all of the members of the Sparrow Academy, it seems like she is the one who doesn’t seem to be approachable. She likes being a loner and often wears an intimidating look that makes people want to avoid her. On top of that, Jayme is said to be the most introverted among all of the members of Sparrow Academy because she doesn’t say much and doesn’t seem like she actually loves talking to people.
At this point, we are yet to see what Jayme is capable of or what her story is all about. It is possible that, like all of the members of Sparrow Academy, she is going to have an important role in the upcoming season. We might even see her going up against some of the members of Umbrella Academy.
Who Plays Jayme In Umbrella Academy Season 3?
Jayme is played by Cazzie David, who is 28 years of age as of this writing. She is an actress that was born in Boston, Massachusetts. David has also been acting since 2007 but has also explored the other areas of filmmaking as well because she has also produced, directed, and written a few productions as well.
Cazzie David started acting in 2007 when she appeared as a minor character in Hannah Montana. It took a while for her to get another role because the next time she appeared on screen was in 2016. After that, she appeared in Eighty-Sixed, which is a TV mini-series that she also wrote. Then, in 2019, she appeared in a TV movie called Half Empty, which is also a production that she wrote.
After appearing in an episode of Life & Beth in 2022, Cazzie David is set to appear in her biggest role yet as she will be portraying Jayme in Umbrella Academy. While Jayme isn’t necessarily one of the most important characters in the upcoming third season of Umbrella Academy, she is still going to help in steering the direction of the series because she is a member of Sparrow Academy.
